Kon freaked out because Yuzu dressed him up as a doll. He complained to Ichigo, but Ichigo couldn’t care less. Kon decided to run away from home and look for a better place to stay. He bumped into two of Ichigo’s (female) classmates and thought they would be kind enough to take him in. One of the girls saw Kon lying on the ground and thought he was cute, the other one (Kunieda Ryou) thought Kon was dirty and stepped on him. Kon made a sound when she stepped on him. The girls heard it and Kon had no choice but to run for his life. Unfortunately for Kon, Kunieda Ryou is a member of the Track Team and made it difficult for Kon to escape (he did manage to escape though). Meanwhile Rukia seems to have a lot on her mind. She is worried about Ichigo (Soul Society must have been notified already about the defeat of Menos Grande) and about herself.
Kon hasn’t given up yet in finding a new home; his next “target” is Orihime. Before he could approach her though, Kon got kicked like a soccer ball by Tatsuke and got hit by Orihime like a baseball. Apparently Orihime was testing out a new sport she invented, called “Baseccer” (baseball + soccer).
During class Ichigo wonders why Ishida hasn’t come to school. Then the door slides open and Ishida showed up with his hands wrapped in bandages. When the teacher asked him what happened, Ishida answered he fell down the stairs (everyone thought that was a lame excuse). When lunch break started, Ichigo invited Ishida to lunch with him and his friends. At first Ishida refused, but when Ichigo told him it’s Keigo’s treat Ishida accepted his offer. During the lunch break Ichigo and Ishida argued the whole time. In the meantime a black cat appeared at Urahara’s store. The black cat is Urahara’s best friend and is called Yoruichi-san. Later on Kon appeared at Urahara’s store as well, because he wanted to steal some weapons to use against Ichigo. Yoruichi-san saw Kon and notified Jinta and Ururu. Jinta decided to punish Kon by torturing him.
School was out and Ichigo wanted to go home. Rukia called Ichigo back and asked him if he was feeling all right. Ichigo answered that everything feels fine. He has noticed that Rukia has been acting strange lately and asked her about it, but then Kon suddenly showed up. He literally flew to Rukia’s chest and apologized for running away from home. Ichigo hasn’t even noticed that Kon was missing. Seeing that Kon was in a bad shape (the stuffing was coming out), he took Kon to Ishida and asked him to fix Kon. At first Ishida refused, but then Ichigo teased him saying he can’t fix Kon with his hands wrapped in bandages. Ishida couldn’t stand Ichigo’s mocking and fixed Kon. After Ishida fixed him, Kon looked even more like a doll than before.
At the end of this episode it was Rukia’s turn to run away from home. She hasn’t noticed two Death gods are following her.
A filler episode, but I love it. It has a lot of funny moments . Kon is so adorable and I like the new look Ishida gave him. Ishida’s hobby doesn’t suit him at all, but that’s what’s so funny about him. Between all the hilarious moments the writers managed to squeeze in a few serious elements. The true identity and motives of Yoruichi-san are still a mystery. I was surprised with Yoruichi-san’s voice. I thought Yoruichi-san is supposed to be female (and not male). Rukia motives for leaving Ichigo are a mystery as well (okay, I’m lying……….I have read the manga and I know her motives. I just don’t want to spoil anything). The next episode should be an interesting one!
