In the previous episode Mikan saw a bear chopping wood. Mikan immediately thinks that the bear is cute and tried to play with it. Iinchou warned Mikan not to get close with the bear, because the bear is actually Mr. Bear also known as “Forest Guardian” - the strongest bear ever. Mr. Bear shows his true colours and starts to hit Mikan. At first Hotaru did nothing, but when things started to get out of hand she called an pink elephant to pour water over Mr. Bear causing him to pass out. They managed to escape, but then they ran into some other trouble – a giant chick called Giant Piyo is rampaging through the forest. Mikan, Hotaru and Iinchou are now being surrounded by Mr. Bear and Giant Piyo. The only person who can save them is Ruka, because he can use his Alice - animal pheromones - to tame Giant Piyo. Hotaru tells Iinchou to lure Ruka to the woods with his Alice. Iinchou created illusions of animals that are suffering to lure Ruka. Mikan then asked Ruka for help. At first he refused, but Mikan said that Hotaru will use a blow dart to take out Giant Piyo if he refused to help them. Ruka then agreed, but on one condition: they are not allowed to see him use his Alice. Apparently Ruka is completely different when he is with animals. Ruka successfully tamed Giant Piyo. Mikan asked Ruka why he acts so differently when he is with Natsume. Ruka answered that he promised Natsume not to smile when he is in pain. Hotaru then blackmailed Ruka with a picture of him with Giant Piyo. If he didn’t accompany them through the woods, she will show the picture to everyone. Ruka had no choice but to agree. Then Natsume showed up looking very pissed. He is mad at Mikan, because he thinks she used dirty tricks to lure Ruka to the forest. He demanded Mikan to show him her Alice, but Mikan doesn’t know how to do it. Then Natsume surrounded Iinchou and Hotaru with fire and threatened to kill them if Mikan didn't use her Alice. Mikan wanted to stop Natsume and jumped on him. Natsume became even more pissed and wanted to use his ultimate attack, but then both Natsume and Mikan were surrounded by a blue light. When the blue light disappeared, Natsume’s fire has also vanished. Narumi-sensei showed up and put Natsume to sleep. He congratulates Mikan for passing the test. Apparently Mikan’s Alice is “cancellation” therefore she could negate Natsume’s attacks.
Mr. Bear is so cool, I want one too. Although I felt sorry for Mikan, I did enjoy the scenes where Mr. Bear hit her – I laughed out loud. Never thought a stuffed animal could be so dangerous. Ruka is kawaii – he is so cute when is with animals, but it's also a bit disturbing. Narumi-sensei’s Alice is “ugh”. Did he really had to kiss Natsume on his forehead? Anyway, looking forward to the next episode. More Gakuen Alice please!
