Akane arranged for Shizuka and Ryo to spend the day, before Shizuka has to leave, together. She created a romantic atmosphere with candles and Shizuka’s favourite food. At first Shizuka was very happy that she could spend the evening with Ryo. She even told him the reason why she wanted to marry him so badly. Shizuka’s grandfather is the heir of a prestigious family. When he was young he fell in love with a girl from the lower class. The two of them separated to preserve the reputation and social status of the prestigious family. Eventually he married the woman his family recommended. His bride was an amicable person and soon he forgot about his first love. Two years ago his wife passed away and he started remembering that girl again. Eventually he couldn’t deny his feelings anymore and went to look for that girl. He found out she had already passed away, but she had two grandchildren who are close in age to his own granddaughter. Those grandchildren are Akane and Ryo. Shizuka’s grandfather somehow wanted his lost love to be realized through a relationship between Shizuka and Ryo.
Ryo finally understands everything. He asked Shizuka if she isn’t unhappy about this. Shizuka admits that she was unhappy at first, because she didn’t know what kind of person Ryo was. But now she truly likes Ryo. Shizuka started to cry, hugged Ryo and even wanted to kiss him, but he rejected her. Shizuka is mad at Ryo, because he rejected her and couldn’t even say the words: “Don’t go”. In the end Shizuka left after saying: “I hate you” to Ryo.
Ryo you baka, baka, baka! You couldn’t even say the words: “Don’t go”. Even if you don’t like Shizuka, you could have been nicer to her. Poor Shizuka was really sad. I wonder how Final Approach will end. Two more episodes to go. I really hope Shizuka will end up being with Ryo. They make such a cute couple! By the way, this anime has become really serious. I kinda miss the humour of the previous episodes.
