Ichigo saves his sisters from the Hollow. It turns out that this Hollow killed Ichigo's mother six years ago. The Hollow is called Ground Fisher. He makes bait in the form of a human to lure humans with high spirit density. Six years ago he lured Ichigo to the riverbank and wanted to kill him. Ichigo was saved, because the Hollow prefers to eat women. That’s why he killed Ichigo’s mother. Ichigo was enraged after hearing this and fought the Hollow. He was however no match for it. The Hollow made a bait in the form of Ichigo’s mother. Ichigo couldn’t kill his own mother and was wounded by the Hollow. Then the soul of Ichigo’s real mother appeared and told Ichigo to live with a smile. Ichigo gathered his strength and wounded the Hollow very badly, but he couldn’t kill him because the Hollow fled.
In the end we see a nice father-to-son talk between Ichigo and his father. Ichigo finally realises he is not responsible for his mother’s death.
Rukia was different in this episode. She was more sentimental and caring towards Ichigo than in the previous episodes. I can’t say that I don’t like this side of Rukia’s, it’s kinda nice. Too bad Ichigo couldn’t kill the Hollow. It was so sad to see Ichigo like this, but at least he won’t blame himself for his mother’s death anymore.
The other Death God isn’t a bad guy after all. He saved Karin and promised to cover for Rukia. I guess Soul Society will send someone else after Rukia now.
