It's Azuma and Kawachi's first day at the southern Pantasia store. Azuma was found frozen in the refrigerator by his co-worker Kinoshita Kageto (or whom I like to call "Mushroom Head"). Kawachi is hidden in a corner, regretting he has to work in a small store with such insignificant people.
Meanwhile Tsukino arrived, she wants Kawachi and Azuma to make French bread. If they get the manager's recommendation they can be transferred to work at Pantasia's main store.
Azuma and Kawachi start making bread after hearing this. Tsukino and Kageto like the bread they made, but it's not up to them to decide whether the bread is good enough to be sold at the Pantasia southern store. The manager, Matsushiro Ken, has to give his approval.
Azuma and Kazuma went to the racetrack to find the manager. They met a strange-looking guy with big afro-hair. He asks Azuma if he can have a piece of his French bread. After Azuma gave him the bread, he threw a piece of the bread to a horse. The horse refused to eat it. The manager reveals his identity to Azuma and Kawachi. He tells them to make delicious bread that even a horse would eat, otherwise they are fired. Azuma and Kawachi returned back to the store. Tsukino tells them that the manager is strict, because he is afraid that inferior bread can cause allergies. He almost lost his sister eight years ago, because she ate bread (that he made) with milk and butter in it. She is allergic to dairy products. Kawachi is determined to make delicious bread and Azuma is crying after hearing about the manager's sister.
Kawachi's expressions are so funny, I couldn't stop laughing. Kawachi shouldn't complain that he has to work in a small store. He should be happy that Tsukino hired him in the first place, otherwise he would be unemployed. The manager has a funny haircut. He looked better eight years ago, when he had long hair. The manager seems to be a very skilled baker, but he has a strange personality. He likes to talk to horses and he doesn't look like a baker at all. If he was in the new employee recruitment with Azuma and Kawachi, he would have had point deductions for his haircut and unclean appearance.
