Mikan’s classmates continue bullying her. Natsume asks Mikan what her Alice is. Mikan can’t answer his question though, because she doesn’t know it either. Instead of admitting that, she answers it’s none of his business. One of Natsume’s classmates has the ability to read people’s thoughts and read out Mikan’s thoughts. Now everyone in the class knows that Mikan has no idea what her Alice is. Shouda, one of the students of class B and the president of the Natsume-Ruka fanclub, says that people with Alices are superior to people who don’t have them. She thinks Mikan must have cheated her way into the academy. Mikan disagrees with her and they started to argue. The boy who levitated Mikan interfered and pushed Mikan to the ground. He wanted to hit Mikan, but then Hotaru saved Mikan by hitting the boy with her horse-gloves. Hotaru said: “The only one who is allowed to make this dummy cry is me”. Mikan was happy after hearing this, but Hotaru seemed somewhat disappointed because she can’t win the Honor Student Award anymore.
Inchou showed Mikan around campus and bought her a drink. Inchou paid with money called Rabbit. The academy provides students with Rabbits. The amount of Rabbits depends on the grade you’re in.
After that they went to the lab to find Hotaru, but she wasn’t there. They found a few of Hotaru’s crazy inventions, each of them needed Rabbits to work. Inchou also told Mikan about Hotaru’s Alice: Invention.
During the next class Natsume talked to Mikan. He knows that Mikan has to familiarize with everyone in the class within a week otherwise she can’t officially transfer to Gakuen Alice. He gave her a chance. If Mikan can make it through the Northern Woods safely, he will accept her as having an Alice. He even allowed her to take a special friend with her. Hotaru refused to help her though. Mikan accepted Natsume’s challenge and entered the Northern Woods. Inchou was worried about Mikan and promised to come with her. They walked through a swamp and noticed they were walking on quicksand. Fortunately they found a HELP-sign and pushed the button for help. Hotaru came to rescue them, but charged Mikan 50 Rabbits. She knows Mikan doesn’t have anyone Rabbits, so she allowed her pay her back by manual labor.
Quite an interesting episode. More is revealed about the academy: Rabbits and grades. The Northern Woods reminded me of the Black Forest in the Harry Potter books. I think I am not the only blogger who makes this comparison.
Natsume is quite smart. He has noticed something special about Mikan and wants to test it. I guess Mikan has to past this test in order for her classmates to accept her. Her classmates are awful. Especially the boy who levitated Mikan and Shouda, she is so annoying and her laugh is terrible. She thinks she is all that, while in fact she is kind of pathetic. I mean president of the Natsume-Ruka fanclub, get a life!
