Wow, this blog is pretty dead. I guess that's what happens when you don't update ^_^; Sorry to disappoint you, but this isn't an update either. Just wanted to let you know that I've officially graduated - it happened yesterday. The graduation ceremony will be held at the end of next month. Everyone in my family is so happy. Especially my mum and dad - they are really proud!

Ideal weight?!

A friend of mine sent these links to me. The first link is to a site that:

"Calculate your Body Mass Index and compare yourself to friends with a similar age and height."

This BMI Calculator is more suitable for females. On the site there is also a link to a BMI Calculator for males.

The second link is to a site that can:

"Set a realistic "Ideal Weight" goal for your body,
Try to feel good about yourself even if you are overweight."

You have to enter your height, weight, age and gender. After you press the "calculate"-button, it will calculate your "ideal" weight and show you what other people of your height, weight, age and gender would describe as their ideal weight.

Here are my results:

Weight: 54.5 kgs

Peoples Choice Ideal Weight: 55 kgs
Your current Body Mass Index is: 19.3 kg/m2
Your weight is at 23nd percentile compared to others of same height and age. If you are at 50th percentile, you are close to the average weight. At 90th percentile, your weight is greater than 90% of others. At 20th percentile, then 80% of others weigh more than you (compared to American's weights).

I'm happy with the results, though I won't take them seriously because the calculation method is probably outdated and is based on American weights. I'm Chinese so the calculated "ideal" weight won't apply for me. If the results are compared to Chinese weights, the outcome of the test would probably be that I have a slight overweight.

Rebecca Miyamoto is the main character of this series. She is ½ American and ½ Japanese. Though Rebecca is only 11 years old, she has already graduated from M.I.T. She is also the new classroom teacher of class 1-C at Peach Moon High. The previous teacher was fired, because he was caught with porn books in his possession.
Rebecca overslept for her first day at school and also took the wrong bus, thus she arrives late for her class. Meanwhile the students of class 1-C haves already been informed by the classroom teacher of 1-D, that they their new teacher will arrive today and even how she looks like. After Rebecca (finally) arrives she wants to check the attendance, but the students doesn’t seem to take her seriously and start to ask her weird questions. Rebecca, who of course is still a child after all, couldn’t handle the bullying and cries. Later on the students felt sorry for their actions and apologize to Rebecca.

I have to agree with Matthew. This series is too wacky for words. Like most anime series, PaniPoni Dash’s first episode also introduces the main characters of the series. As mentioned before, Rebecca is the main character of this series. Besides Rebecca, there are six more characters who seem play an important role in the series.

Kondou eavesdrops Ryuunosuke and Saiyoko's conversation about going to a hotspring to relax. Kondou thinks this might be a good opportunity to let Ryuunosuke and Saiyoko develop an intimate relationship (emphasize on intimimate). Kondou was in luck 'cause It just so happens that Gennai invented a so-called "hot spring digger" and wants to test it out. Therefore the entire Kidou Shinsengumi Squad and Saiyoko went to Arima hot springs. After they arrived, the girls went into the hot springs while Ryuunosuke and Nekomaru were forced by Gennai to help him test out his invention. Apparently the hot spring digger is powered by energy released by youkai, thus Gennai needs Nekomaru's help to test his invention. While the boys were busting their asses off, the girls were enjoying themselves in the hot springs. Their happiness didn't last long though, because they were disturbed by a horny youkai that wants to lick the girls. Of course the girls won't allow that to happen and used violence to chase away the youkai. Meanwhile Miki and her gang have arrived at the hot springs as well.
Back at Ryuunosuke, Gennai and Nekomaru, the hot spring digger seems to have failed. Instead of digging holes, it just ploughs the ground's surface. Ryuunosuke and Nekomaru decided to call it a day and went to the hot spring to clean themselves up. Kondou who was still determined in carrying out her plan, thought the opportunity has finally come to hook up Ryuunosuke with Saiyoko. She lures both of them to the female hot spring, not knowing that Miki was also in the hot spring. After Saiyoko and Miki discover that Ryuunosuke "accidentally" entered the female hot spring, they hide themselves from Ryuunosuke. Little did they know that a horny youkai was watching them. While watching Saiyoko and Miki the youkai got all excited and emitted powerful youkai energy that got picked up by Gennai's invention. Gennai immediately asks Fujika and Okita to capture the youkai in its current state. While the girls rush to the hot springs, Kondou was busy preventing people from entering the hot springs. After the girls arrive Kondou challenges them to a fight, but before the fight even began they heard a scream coming from the hot springs. Miki, Saiyoko and Ryuunosuke have discovered the youkai and were trying their best to stop the youkai from doing perverted things. Suddenly Gennai and his invention barge into the hot springs as well. Apparently the hot spring digger has absorbed too many youkai energy causing it to completely go out of control. The next thing we see is Gennai, the girls, Ryuunosuke, Nekomaru, Saiyoko and the horny youkai going on a short yet crazy journey through the center of the earth and to a place where dinosaurs still exist. They eventually reach Kyoto, but also brought along tons and tons of hot spring water causing Kyoto to flood. The Kidou Shinsengumi were yet again being held responsible.

I don't understand why almost every anime series have at least one "onsen" episode (Girls Bravo, Final Approach, Tactics, etc.). "Onsen episodes" are usually fillers and add nothing to the plot, but then again Kidou Shinsengumi didn't have a "real" plot to begin with. I also discovered that Kidou Shinsengumi shares a similarity with Tactics. They both have the "Demon-of-the-week" thing going on --> each episode features another youkai. Though Tactics' youkai were usually possessed by evil spirits causing them to hurt others, Kidou Shinsengumi's youkai are just plain horny *cough*octopus goes berserk and kidnaps pretty ladies*cough*horny frog youkai that wants to lick bathing women*cough*.

Based on the manga by Hikawa Hekiru. Pani Poni is a gagmanga of the likes of Azumanga Daioh and Sensei no Ojikan. It`s the first commercial manga by Hikawa Hekiru who was previously active in the doujin scene.

The 11 year old Miyamoto Rebecca becomes the new teacher of a classroom which is full of weirdos. Despite her cute looks she`s a little beast and can be pretty sarcastic and offensive. The school is not safe anymore now that she`s in charge of a class and her students, Himeko, Ichijou, Rei and a white rabbit who took a liking to Rebecca help her to rough up the school and the neighbour-class with its teacher "ojiichan". Join them now in their daily life full of gags and nonsense.

New series I'll be watching/ blogging. Judging by the picture this seems like a wacky, fun series. Hope this will be as good as Azumanga Daioh!

Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken TV episode 2

The Kidou Shinsengumi corporation is in financial problems. They owe their debt collector ¥5,000. Ryuunosuke suggests to sell shares of the Kidou Shinsengumi corporation to improve their financial situation. Kondou, Okita and Fujika misunderstood Ryuunosuke, but eventually manage to sell the shares (with a little scamming) and earned ¥5,000. Oryou-san, Ryuunosuke’s mother, thanks her son for “saving” the company. Then Ryuunosuke announces that he will return to Shanghai once he rebuild the corporation.
Oryou-san is shocked by Ryuunosuke’s announcement. She had been separated for Ryuunosuke for six years, she can’t bear to lose him again. With Nekomaru’s help they came up with a scheme to have Ryuunosuke stay in Kyoto. Apparently, Ryuunosuke is quite taken with Saiyoko from the local restaurant. If the two of them fall in love, Ryuunosuke might stay in Kyoto. The only problem is that Saiyoko is incredibly popular with the males in Kyoto. Oryou-san asks Gennai-san to invent a love potion to use on Saiyoko, so she would fall in love with Ryuunosuke. Kondou accidentally took the wrong container, that contains a love potion for males to be attracted to females. When they arrive at the restaurant, she wants to spray it on Saiyoko, but due to Ryuunosuke’s interference she sprays it on an unlicensed octopus youkai. The youkai goes berserk and abducts almost every female in Kyoto, including Miki of the Tsubame Squad. The Kidou Shinsengumi eventually manage to defeat the youkai, but also destroyed the Kyoto Tower. In the end they repaid their debt collector, but borrowed another ¥10,000 for the restoration of the Kyoto Tower.

This episodes proves that the Kidou Shinsengumi corporation is not entirely useless after all. Though they are still clumsy as ever. Save the town, but destroy the tower?! Hahahaha, they are all morons! Ryuunosuke actions surprised me though. When he first appeared, I thought of him as a naïve, carefree boy. He turns out to be quite intelligent for a boy of his age (16). Is that what his teacher taught him Shanghai? I’m starting to warm up for this series, but it still too early to jump to any conclusions.

.......bake a cake! That's what my (little) sister and I did. We were feeling bored, so we decided to bake a strawberry-chocolate cake. The cake consists of three layers: cake-strawberries-cake and on top of the cake cream with strawberry slices and chocolate. We haven't taste it yet, but it sure looks yummy!

A young boy named Ryuunosuke returns to Kyoto with his youkai Nekomaru. Because of a new law youkai has to be registered in order to live as equals with humans. The Kidou Shinsengumi squad is responsible for capturing unlicensed youkai and bringing them to the town’s office for registration. The first member of the Kidou Shinsengumi we encounter is Kondou Yuuko. She chases after an unlicensed kappa, but when she was about to let him go because she pitied him she was interrupted by the International Youkai Protection Group – Tsubame Squad. The Tsubame Squad consists of three members: Saotome Miki and her two henchmen: Tanaka Ukon and Suzuki Sakon. They claim to be fighting for the rights of youkai, but in fact they are trying to win over youkai’s trust so they can become most powerful organisation in Japan. While Miki and Kondou quarrel, the kappa escapes. Miki and her gang chases after the kappa, but couldn’t find him because Ryuunosuke helped the kappa. Ryuunosuke tells the kappa to go home and was seen by Kondou. She sighs and tells him the next time he sees an unlicensed youkai to bring it to the town’s office for registration. Kondou returns to the Kidou Shinsengumi’s headquarters were we meet the other squad members:
- Fujika Tashie --> weapon: gun
- Okita-san --> weapon: Four Paper Gods
- Gandai-san --> inventor of useless weapons and silly things, also an excellent cook
- Oryou-san --> the president of Kidou Shinsengumi and also Ryuunosuke’s mother, revealed at the end of this episode.
Ryuunosuke goes to Kidou Shinsengumi’s headquarters to look for his mother, but he was mistaken for a peeper by Kondou and had to flee.
Meanwhile the Tsubame Squad summons Oogappa, the Giant Frogman, and tells him that the Kidou Shinsengumi squad captured one of his kind. Oogappa enraged and went to Kyoto to attack the city. The Kidou Shinsengumi squad came in action, but fails to stop Oogappa. In the end the kappa from before appears and explains everything to Oogappa. Oogappa leaves Kyoto and Ryuunosuke and his mother reunite.

Hahaha….this series is so “corny”. Everything from Miki’s phoney laugh till the Kidou Shinsengumi squad’s silly poses and introduction (not to mention the background music) is incredibly corny and very Sailormoon-like. Furthermore, the technology they have is inconsistent with the Meiji Restoration. Bazookas, television, youkai alarm……how is that possible?
Anyway, the first episode wasn’t very impressive, fans of Ranma ½ and Inuyasha might recognise the character designs. It’s not really my taste, but I’ve seen worse. The opening and ending music is so-so and very standard. I’ll give it a few more episodes. Let’s just hope it won’t turn into a harem-anime – one guy living with four young women…..sounds familiar?

I'm actually surprised with the result, because I thought that most people would prefer manga over anime. I always hear people complain about an anime series for not being able to meet up to the expectations they had after reading the manga.
Personally I prefer both, because they both have their up- and downsides.

I voted for "sub", because I can't stand the horrible, mediocre voice acting skills of some voice actors. Here in The Netherlands, anime is usually dubbed by one company. That's why we're stuck with the same voice actors over and over again. The Dutch media even made up a name for a voice that has been used numerous times. It's called the "Misty-voice" (named after a character from Pokémon). The Misty-voice is a plain, boring and monotone voice, which I really really hate.

I changed my layout - again! This time I designed the layout myself. I spent three hours to get everything right and I must say that I'm quite pleased with the result.

Whoah, it's July already! I guess time flies when you're busy. Thought it would be nice to let you guys know that I'm still alive (though barely). I still haven't finished my project yet, might take another month or two. So I won't have time to do much blogging (but you already know that :p)!

Episode 7
The Headmaster lost an important golden key. He organises a “Great Treasure Hunt” during the Academy Festival and hopes one of his students might find the key. Naoji and Orpherus team up to look for it. They eventually find the key when they went to the fountain to talk and relax for a bit. They took the key to the Headmaster who shows them what the key is for. The key unlocks a secret safe in the Headmaster’s office, which contains reports from inside and outside the kingdom. It’s of great importance that the reports don’t fall into the wrong hands *cough*Beruze*cough*.

Episode 8
A few students from the Gleichheit Academy came to the Rosenstolz Academy as part of an exchange program. One of the students is a young woman from the well-known Vermillia family. Her name is Ishtar Vermillia and she is the type of person that would do anything to get what she wants, which includes seducing a man (Ludwig) with influence and using other people as pawns. Unfortunately for her, Ludwig is too smart to fall for her tricks. He pretends to cooperate with her and then uses one of his own tricks to blackmail her into leaving the Academy.

Episode 9
Orpherus is feeling sad after visiting his sister’s grave. It has been two years since his sister passed away, but Orpherus still hasn’t gotten over it. He is too distracted by it even during class. Later on he goes to the town with Eduard and meets a man called Douglas at the local inn/ pub, who seems to have similar problems as Orpherus. Douglas lost his family during the war in his country and he hasn’t been able to forget about it. He gambles with people for money and then uses the money to buy liquor to drink his sorrows away. The next day, Orpherus went to the inn/ pub because he wants to meet Douglas. Douglas hasn’t showed up yet, so Isaac keeps Orpherus company till Douglas shows up. After a while Douglas appears and keeps nagging Isaac to gamble with him. Orpherus tells Douglas to stop, but it only pisses Douglas off. He sees Orpherus pendant, takes it from him and then ran off. Orpherus chases after Douglas. Douglas stops near a bridge and wants to toss the pendant into the ravine, but then he accidentally slips and almost fell into the ravine. Luckily Orpherus saved him. After saving Douglas, Orpherus thought things over and regained his confidence.

ZzzzZzzzZzzzZ *yawn*yawn* => these three episodes were really boring. I don’t know why I’m still watching and blogging this series. The storyline is incredibly slow and there really isn’t much development. Orpherus obviously (still) has a sister-complex, though he does everything he can to hide his sorrows. Ludwig is arrogant as always, but also quite clever. He let everyone think that he teamed up with Ishtar, while in fact he was just collecting evidence to blackmail her. He didn’t fool me though ^^, his plan was too obvious.

Fujita and Sara are at the J.F. Kennedy airport waiting for their flight to Narita, Japan. While they are waiting, a gentleman approaches Fujita. The gentleman is an old acquaintance of Fujita’s. His name is Moretti and he is the curator of the Uffizi Museum in Florence, Italy. Moretti happens to be going to the same destination Fujita is; the Daito Museum in Narita. He will be attending the Renaissance Exhibition with some art pieces of his museum, which includes a painting called “Madonna” painted by the famous artist Raphael. Moretti is accompanied by couriers (a group of curators and restoration specialists):
- Giorgio Buretzi, the person in charge of the exhibition;
- Pietro Bradinov, the person in charge of restoration;
- Dario Garcini, Antonio and Marco;
While Fujita was talking to Moretti, two suspicious looking characters are keeping an eye on them. Later on they boarded the airplane and Fujita and Moretti continue their conversation. Meanwhile Antonio and Marco, who were in the cargo hold guarding the art pieces, were being attacked by art thieves. During the struggle one of the thieves accidentally destroyed the electrical system that controls the climate controllers. The captain of the airplane notices that something was wrong in the cargo hold and asks a stewardess to inform Moretti and the other couriers. They head to the cargo hold to see what was wrong; Fujita follows them out of curiosity. After they arrive in the cargo hold, the art thieves take hostage of them as well. Fujita laughs at the art thieves for being unprofessional, because they haven’t even noticed that the dropping temperature in the cargo hold will damage/ ruin the art pieces. And Fujita was right, because they heard a cracking sound coming from the wooden box where the “Madonna” was in. The art thieves opened the wooden box and saw a crack on Madonna’s face. Pietro became enraged and attacked the art thieves; unfortunately he got shot during the struggle. Fujita stops the fight by saying that restoring the art piece is more important than anything else. He suggests moving the art pieces to the first class passenger's cabin to prevent the art pieces from further damage. Because Pietro is injured, the art thieves orders Fujita to restore the Madonna. After they moved the art pieces to the first class passenger's cabin, Fujita shows his restoration skills and manages to restore the Madonna. He tells the art thieves to take them to their boss, because he has a business proposal for him. It turns out that Fujita knows their boss. Fujita makes him an offer he simply couldn’t refuse and prevented the art pieces from being taken away.
After they arrived safely in Japan it became clear what kind of business proposal Fujita made with the art thieves. Moretti gets to keep the art pieces, but in return he had to pay ransom money to the art thieves. Moretti is extremely disappointed in Fujita and doesn’t want to see him again. Pietro and the other couriers however are grateful that Fujita managed to restore the Madonna.

Those art thieves are stupid and they call themselves professionals! First of all why did they make their move while the airplane was flying? Okay, it’s easier to steal the art pieces when there is no security whatsoever, but after they steal the art pieces they still can't escape. They can’t leave the airplane plus when the plane lands, the couriers or any other person can easily contact the police and airport security. The art thieves should have stolen the art pieces before the airplane took off.
Second of all if the thieves really are professionals, they should have known that temperature and humidity are the biggest enemies of art pieces. If Fujita wasn't there, the Madonna would have been ruined. He truly is an amazing man, cocky but still amazing. He has incredible skills and knowledge. I love it when he teases Sara, they would make a cute couple. I’m starting to like this series, mainly because it’s about art. Btw, has anyone noticed that the animators of this series have a thing for The Netherlands (Vincent Van Gogh, KLN airline => there is a Dutch airline called KLM).

I’ve decided to drop Peach Girl due to lack of interest. Peach Girl started out as an enjoyable series, but the past few episodes were just plain boring and filled with cliché moments. Momo falls in love with Touji then breaks up with him due to interference by Sae….. gets back together with Touji, with a little help of Kairi……then breaks up again due to another interference by Sae ….blah blah blah…..*repeat*repeat*….
I never did like Shoujo series and now I know why. Shoujo series tend to have a “repeat button” that constantly repeats the storyline. Just give me some good old Shounen series instead…….I need my daily portion of blood, violence and ass-kicking XD.

I hope I haven’t disappointed anyone. Jen, moyism and Reika are still blogging this series. Check out their reviews on Peach Girl instead - they are better bloggers than I am.
Btw, as some of you may have noticed, I've been slow with blogging *again*. I’m procrastinating things, because I’m too *damn* (apology for the foul language) lazy. Just kidding, I wish I had the time to be lazy. It’s almost time for me to graduate, but I have to finish a big (<= huge understatement) project first. The project consumes most of my (already rare (free)) time, which means I have to (temporarily) give up on my hobbies including blogging. It almost hurts o(>_<)o to see my backlog:

After Ichigo and the others were separated, each “group” found a way to land safely on the ground. Ichigo, who was with Ganju, landed safely on the ground thanks to Ganju’s spell. Immediately after they landed, Ganju and Ichigo started to argue again. They were however interrupted by two Death gods. One of the Death gods started to perform a silly dance, which he calls “the luck-luck dance”, to give Ichigo and Ganju the time and opportunity to crawl out the sand pit they were in. Ichigo and Ganju however, were stupefied by the Death god’s silly dance. After Ganju was done stupefying, he ran for his life because he sensed the high spiritual levels of the two Death gods. The bald Death god called his partner’s name, Yumichika, as a signal for his partner to follow Ganju. Ichigo stayed behind, because he had confidence he could beat the Death god. The Death god introduced himself to Ichigo as 11th Squad Junior Adjutant 3rd Class, Madarame Ikkaku. Meanwhile Ganju was still running for his life, with the other Death god following him closely. After a while, Ganju couldn’t run anymore because he arrived at the edge of an old execution ground. The execution ground used to be a battle ground where criminals of Soul Society were forced to fight with Hollows. Death gods would stay by the side line and watch them fight. Once you fall into the execution ground, you can never climb out again. Ganju tried to use a spell to let Yumichika fall into the pit, but failed and fell in the pit himself. Fortunately he was saved by his sister’s cannonball that enabled him to float in mid-air. Yumichika used his Soul slayer to cut the cannonball, but quickly discovered that the cannonball can’t be destroyed with a “normal” Soul slayer. So he changed his Soul slayer to its true form and cut Ganju’s cannonball. Little did he know that it was all part of Ganju’s plan, because once the spirit concentration of the cannonball is disturbed, the cannonball would explode. The explosion of the cannonball blasted Ganju over the pit. Back at Ichigo and Ikkaku, the fight has already begun. Ikkaku seemed to have the upper hand, especially after he transformed his Soul slayer into a tri-section staff. Ikkaku was able to wound Ichigo’s right hand, making Ichigo impossible to hold his Soul slayer anymore. Ichigo pretended it was nothing serious and used the bandages on his hands to strap his Soul slayer to his right hand. He then said to Ikkaku that he will be the one that won’t be able to hold his weapon, because his eyes was finally used to Ikkaku’s attacks. Ikkaku thought that Ichigo was bluffing, but was shocked when he saw that Ichigo was able to block his tri-section staff with his bare hand.

Meanwhile Ishida and Orihime had landed safely in an abandon alley. While Ishida was analyzing the situation, Orihime went ahead to scout their surroundings. Unfortunately poor Orihime accidentally alarmed the Death gods that were patrolling the area. They chased after Orihime and Ishida and caused for so much commotion that even Chad, who was sitting in a tree not far from them, got worried and decided to see what was happening.
Meanwhile Yumichika has finally caught up with Ganju, but then Ganju threw a Chiller Pepper Smoke Bomb as a diversion. He could have escaped if he wasn’t trapped in the smoke of his Chiller Bomb. The two managed to escape the smoke, but ran into another problem: they reached the edge of a pit again and fell into it. Yumichika blamed Ganju for not holding on which caused his beautiful self to fall into a garbage dump. Back at Ichigo and Ikkaku, the battle has ended already. Ichigo won and saved Ikkaku’s life by treating his wounds. After Ikkaku regained consciousness, Ichigo asked Ikkaku to tell him where Rukia is. Ikkaku laughed at Ichigo, when Ichigo told him he came to Soul Society with five-and-a-half persons to save Rukia. After he finished laughing, he told Ichigo where he can find Rukia. He warned him to be careful for his captain, Zaraki Kenpachi.

Ikkaku and Yumichika are so “weird”. One of them likes to perform weird dances, while the other one only cares for his outer appearance. How did the two of them ever became Death gods?
Anyway, Ichigo fight with Ikkaku ended (in my opinion) too quickly. Ichigo almost effortlessly won from Ikkaku, while Ikkaku is far more experienced. Does strength really makes that much difference? I hope that Ichigo’s fight with Zaraki will be a lot more exciting. Btw, is it just me or are Zaraki and his vice-captain a weird combination as well?

Tactics episodes 23 - 25 (END)

It has been three days since Haruka disappeared. Kantarou misses Haruka, but there is nothing he can do. Then Hasumi and Rosalie appeared at his place and told him they saw Haruka. Kantarou rushed to the place where Hasumi claimed to have seen Haruka. He saw Haruka and followed him to an abandoned temple in the forest, where he discovers that it was all part of a trap that Raikou set up to lure him. Raikou did this, because he wanted to force Kantarou to nullify his contract with Haruka. Apparently that’s the only way to give back Haruka his true powers. Kantarou refused to nullify the contract, but then Raikou captured Youko-chan and threatened to send her to the land of the dead spirits. Meanwhile Suzu managed to find Haruka at the place where Kantarou awakened him. Suzu tried to persuade Haruka to go home with her, but Haruka refused and gave back Suzu the bottle she gave to him. The bottle suddenly lit up and showed the situation Kantarou and Youko-chan were in (Rosalie used her powers to show Haruka and Suzu this). Sugino and Muu-chan appeared as well. Muu-chan saw that Kantarou and Youko-chan were in trouble and jumped into the image which transported her to Rosalie. Rosalie teamed up with Muu-chan and managed to save Youko-chan. Hearing Kantarou and Raikou talk about the contract and such caused Haruka to lose his senses again. Sugino tried to stop him, but was no match for Haruka. Meanwhile Raikou tried a different method to persuade Kantarou, because he knew Kantarou won’t give in to his threats.

He separated Kantarou from Youko-chan and Rosalie and tried to make Kantarou feel guilty and eventually agree to nullify the contract. Raikou would have succeeded if Haruka didn’t show up in time. Haruka started to attack Kantarou. Raikou protected Kantarou, because the contract will last forever if Kantarou died. While Raikou and Haruka fought, Watanabe threatened to kill Youko-chan and Rosalie if Kantarou didn’t nullify the contract. Kantarou agreed on one condition; Watanabe must let Youko-chan, Rosalie and Muu-chan escape first. After Youko-chan and Rosalie escaped; Kantarou walked towards Haruka and told him why he awakened him. Apparently ever since Kantarou was little Haruka has always been his aspiration. Kantarou thought that if he can meet someone strong like Haruka, he would be able to change. After he lived together with Haruka, he understands that aspirations are aspirations and dreams are only dreams, because he hasn’t changed => he didn’t become strong. Kantarou told Haruka he can’t do it, he can’t nullify the contract. That’s because Haruka isn’t his aspiration anymore, he has become his most important existence. Kantarou gave Haruka permission to do as he pleases. He can kill him if that’s what he wanted. Haruka was about to kill Kantarou, but then a mysterious light appeared from above and made Haruka regain his senses. The light came from Suzu who was praying. After Haruka returned back to his normal self, he started to fight with Raikou and was able to wound him. Raikou realised now isn’t the time to defeat Haruka, so he retreated with Watanabe and Ibaragi. Kantarou thought everything has ended and wanted to go home with Haruka, but Haruka refused and left for the second time.

Six months later, Suzu’s father came to Kantarou’s house to ask him for help. A strange phenomenon had appeared at his house and scared most of his servants. The strange phenomenon was Suzu’s spirit. She passed away on the day Kantarou fought with Raikou and his faction. Ever since Suzu was born, her body has always been weak. On the day she died, she caught a mild cold and never woke up again. Suzu turned into a spirit, because she had a lingering attachment. She kept appearing in front of Kantarou and the others, because she wanted Kantarou and Haruka to become friends again. After Haruka found out about Suzu’s death, he went to her house. Suzu appeared in front of him and asked him if he was still regretting about the fact that he should not have been awakened. At the same time Kantarou, Youko-chan and Rosalie appeared at Suzu’s house as well. Kantarou felt Haruka’s presence and rushed to Suzu’s room. Haruka already left, but Kantarou knew where to find him. Kantarou went to the place where he awakened Haruka and found him there. Haruka started to talk to Kantarou and told him he tried to kill him, because Kantarou reminded him of the person who sealed him. He is certain that Kantarou is somehow related to that person. Kantarou admitted that that person was indeed someone of the Ichinomiya lineage. He knew this all along, but he still wanted to meet Haruka. Haruka replied that up until now, he always thought he would never open his heart to any human. He realised this was a mistake. He will stop thinking about it and live as his heart tells him to. From now on he will carve the time he spent with humans into his heart. When Haruka regains all the memories he had lost, he might kill Kantarou. If Kantarou can accept that, Haruka will return to his side. Kantarou gave Haruka his answer by nodding his head. Then Suzu appeared again and told them she was glad they have made up. She gave the bottle back to Haruka and thanked everyone. She told them she was really happy to have met them all.
After a while things returned back to normal at the Ichinomiya residence.

My first thought after watching these episodes: “Huh?”
Second thought: *extremely confused*
Third thought: “This can’t be the end!”

After watching the end of Tactics there were a lot of questions left unanswered:
- What happened to the evil spirit in Muu-chan’s body?
- Raikou and his faction clearly haven’t given up on Haruka yet, so there is no closure.
- Why did Suzu had to die => it was never mentioned that Suzu has a weak body.
- How come Rosalie suddenly has special powers?
- Why did the animators wasted so many episodes on fillers, while they could have used those episodes to answer my questions?

Overall opinion:
Tactics isn’t a bad anime, but it isn’t a great one either. It has too many filler episodes (though I admit that some of them were quite funny) and the artwork was inconsistent. Sometimes it was great (like the last episode), but most of the times it was so-so. No complaints about the music, because I really like the opening and ending theme. If you’re looking for an anime with a good plot and a fast pace in the storyline, I wouldn’t recommend Tactics.

I'm back and I can't tell ya how good it feels! I can finally sleep in my own bed again plus I have an entirely new bathroom, kitchen and toilet all for free ^^! I have been gone for almost a month now, so I have a lot of catching up to do. First I have to download all the anime episodes that have been released in the past month (I haven't been able to download anything the past two weeks), then I have to watch and blog all of them. I won't be able to watch any new series for now. I'll try to clear up my backlog first and after that perhaps I'll pick up some of the new series.

In order to get into Seireitei, Ichigo and the others must learn how to form a cannonball. After practicing a while Orihime, Chad and Ishida have already mastered it. Ichigo however needed more time to do so. While the others left the practice room for dinner, Ganju walked into the room and practiced to form a cannonball. He was actually trying to help Ichigo. After seeing how easily Ganju formed a cannonball, Ichigo practised again and managed to form a cannonball as well. The next day Kuukaku prepared the cannon to blast Ichigo and his gang into Seireitei. Ganju wanted to go with them, because there is something he wants to find out. According to Ganju his brother, who was a very talented Death god, was murdered by another Death god. Instead of being angry with the Death god, Ganju’s brother thanked the Death god just before he died. Ganju feels that if he went with Ichigo to Seireitei he might find something out. Kuukaku gave Ganju her approval to join Ichigo and then used her cannon to launch them. Meanwhile the Death gods in Seireitei have noticed some Drifters are heading their way. They gathered around the walls of Seireitei and were prepared to face the Drifters. After the cannonball, formed by Ichigo and the others, penetrated through the protective shield of Seireitei it dissolved and quickly turned into a whirlwind. The whirlwind separated them into three groups: Ichigo/ Ganju and Yoruichi, Orihime and Ishida, and Chad. The Captain of the thirteenth squad, Ken-chan, was anxious to fight and kill the Drifters.

These two episodes were funny and exciting. The interaction between Ganju and Ichigo still creates hilarious moments. It still amazes that the writers are able to blend in humour in such a serious arc. Can’t wait to see the next episodes. Ichigo’s encounter with “Ken-chan” should be very interesting. Ken-chan’s vice-captain is so kawaii. I can’t believe she is actually a Death god => she looks more like an elementary kid to me.

Wheeh~ today is my 21st birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!

Too bad I can't celebrate my birthday at home, because I have been forced to move out of my house. Though it will only be for a month, it still sucks. I miss my bed so badly.......and I can't blog. I'm staying at my aunt's place and although I have access to internet (plus I can download anime), I don't have the software and the time to blog.

Ganju and his minions escaped with their boars. Ichigo is obviously not pleased with this, but there is nothing he can do about it. After Ganju left, Ishida, Orihime and Chad start to wonder what kind of person Shiba Kuukaku is. After a while Ishida wonders where Ichigo is and goes to look for him. After he found him, Ichigo tells him to go ahead first. He isn’t going yet, because he wants to wait for Ganju to come back. He doesn’t want Ganju to think he is afraid of him. Ishida tries to use force to drag Ichigo away, but with no luck. In the end Yoruichi had to scratch Ichigo’s face and remind him why he came to Soul Society, to make him realize he is wasting time.
At that time Renji was telling Rukia that the date of her execution has been moved up to 14 days from now. They are also transferring her to the Shrine of Penitence. Meanwhile Ichigo and the others are on their way to Shiba Kuukaku’s house. They wonder why Shiba Kuukaku lives in such a remote place. They think it must be, because he wants to keep his identity secret. Yoruichi tells them that is not the reason why Shiba Kuukaku lives here. It's just the fool's nature (referring to Shiba Kuukaku). Shiba Kuukaku constantly moves, but the house always look the same. Yoruichi says he will recognize it instantly. After a while they finally arrive at Shiba Kuukaku's house. Ichigo and Ishida were shocked, because it's nothing like they expected. There are two hands holding a banner that says: Shiba Kuukaku. Ishida and Ichigo are a bit hesitant in entering the house, because they are embarrassed but they don't have a choice. Ishida notices that the house has a very large pipe, which is too big to be a chimney. He wonders where the pipe is for. Then they hear two voices that tell them to halt. Two guards appear who tell Ichigo and the others they won't let them pass. Luckily they recognize Yoruichi so they let Ichigo and the others enter the house. The house has a weird structure, it has downward stairs right after you enter the house. One of the guards leads them to a room, where Shiba Kuukaku is in. They were shocked when they discover that Shiba Kuukaku is actually a woman. Yoruichi and Shiba Kuukaku have a little chat in which Yoruichi explains their situation. Meanwhile Rukia has been transferred to the Shrine of Penitence. Renji notices that Rukia is feeling depressed. He wants to cheer her up and tells her that Ichigo and his friends might have entered Soul Society.Yoruichi and Kuukaku are done talking. Kuukaku tells Yoruichi that she trust him, but the same can't be said about Ichigo and the others. She decides to place one of her minions by their sides. Kuukaku calls him a minion, but he is actually her little brother. A door opens and Kuukaku's little brother appear, it's no one other than Ganju. The second Ichigo and Ganju see each other, they start to fight again. At first Kuukaku just stood by and did nothing, but then Ichigo accidentally knocked off her pipe and stepped on it. Kuukaku got ticked off and smashed on the floor. After she tells Ichigo to abide by her rules, she takes them to a room where a huge pipe is in. She tells them this is how she is going to get them into Shereitan: from the sky . Apparently, Shiba Kuukaku is Rukongai's Number One Fireworks Maker.

So many SD-moments --> I love them! Ichigo and Ganju are so funny. Seeing them, makes me forget about the storyline of this series (which I don't mind ^^). I'm still not used to seeing the helpless, depressed Rukia, I hope she recovers soon. I really don't like this Rukia and I think I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Haruka seems to have a lot on his mind. He spends his time on the roof thinking about everything that has happened. Kantarou, Suzu and Youko are worried about him, but there is not much they can do. Then Rosalie and Suzu bought a board game and asked Youko, Kantarou and Haruka to play with them. Haruka did not feel like it and just sat there hearing (he turned his back on them) them play the game. The game is called “Jingai makyou tanken sugoroku” and is a dice game that explores haunts abandoned by people. Each player has a pawn. During each turn the player throws a dice to determine the number of steps they are allowed to take. There are several pictures on the board game. If you come across one of those pictures you have to read and follow the picture‘s instruction. After they played it for a while, the instructions starts to bother Haruka and he wanted them to stop playing the game. When Kantarou asked him what was wrong, Haruka seemed confused and doesn't seem to know what he was doing.
Later on Kantarou went to a mansion to investigate the strange things that has been happening there. Not only have the residents of the mansion mysteriously disappeared, but there is also strange laughter coming from the mansion. They went into the mansion to see if anything was unusual. Haruka has a flashback about the conversation he had with Sugino the other day. He asked Sugino to tell him about his past as an oni-eater Tengu. Sugino asked him if he really wants to know it. The flashback ended before we get to see Haruka‘s answer. Meanwhile Kantarou and the others are still searching for unusual things in the mansion. Haruka found a crossbow and tried to shoot Kantarou with it. Kantarou believes Haruka did not do it on purpose, but Haruka is not too sure about that. Then the glass painting in the entrance hall broke. They suspect a youkai had something to do with it, so they rushed upstairs. In the second floor hallway, they saw a youkai crawling on the floor. Kantarou tells Haruka to cover his back while he takes care of the youkai. Haruka starts to act strangely again and was about to kill Kantarou, but then the youkai escaped through the window and Haruka followed it. When they got outside, Haruka was scared of himself because he tried to kill Kantarou. Then the youkai appeared again. Haruka chased after it and killed it. Suzu witnessed everything and ran crying to Kantarou to tell him what Haruka did. Kantarou was talking to Minamoto at that moment. Minamoto admits he planned all of this and tells Kantarou this is only the beginning.

I’m a bit confused after watching this episode. How can Kantarou be the one who sealed Haruka away? Hmm, perhaps that's how he got his scar. Three more episodes to go..........can't wait! Haruka has finally lost it and killed an oni. How will Kantarou save Haruka? I doubt that the animators can explain everything clearly in just three episodes. They wasted too many episodes on the fillers :-(!

Kawachi and Kazuma continue their training with Ryuu-san. Both of them have improved a lot, though Kawachi’s skills are still better than Kazuma’s. Ryuu-san worries that Kazuma’s noodle-making skills might not be good enough to defeat Shachihoko. In order to stand a chance against Shachihoko, Kazuma must prepare a good scheme. Meanwhile Kawachi has already thought of a scheme to use against his opponent in the second round. He tells Ryuu-san about it, who seems to like Kawachi’s scheme. Though according to Ryuu-san, Kawachi could win his match without having to use a scheme. Kawachi replies that the manager taught him not to let his guard down.
As expected, Kawachi won his match of the second round very easily. He made a yakisoba bread in the shape of a hotdog. After Kuroyanagi tasted Kawachi’s bread, he immediately declared Kawachi the winner of the match.
Kawachi wonders why Kazuma is strong in making bread, but weak in cooking food. If they were to compete in bread, Kazuma would definitely win from Shachihoko. Then Kawachi thought of something and went to Kuroyanagi to discuss it with him.
Back at Ryuu-san’s store, Kazuma was feeling depressed because he has no confidence in the match against Shachihoko. Kawachi walks in the store holding a bag with French rolls. He dislikes seeing Kazuma so depressed and pretends to be angry with him. He crushes the bag with French rolls onto Kazuma’s face and tells him he deserves to be crushed. Kazuma doesn’t understand what Kawachi was trying to do and wants him to stop. The manager understands Kawachi’s intention and tells Kazuma, Kawachi is right – he deserves to be crushed. Kazuma finally seems to understand what Kawachi and the manager were trying to tell him.
At the day of second round, Kazuma surprised everyone when he uses his cooking pan to crush the French rolls. Shachihoko thinks Kazuma is taking out his anger on the bread, because he couldn’t make delicious yakisoba. Then it was time for Kuroyanagi to taste the yakisoba bread. He starts with Shachihoko’s bread. After he took a bite, Kuroyanagi had the sudden urge to take of his clothes. Fortunately for him, Kawachi stopped him before he took of his pants. To make sure Kuroyanagi wouldn’t take of his pants anymore, Kawachi called in a few men dressed in suits to hold up Kuroyanagi’s pants. Next is the tasting of Kazuma’s yakisoba bread. As usual Kuroyanagi asks Kazuma: “What’s this thing?”. Kazuma replies it’s Yakisoba-Japan #59 “okonomiyaki sandwich”. Kuroyanagi asks himself: “To eat….or not to eat…..”, because the bread gives off the smell of danger. Then he realized he doesn’t have much of a choice, because he is the examiner. After he took a bite of Kazuma’s creation, he started to recite a poem written by a famous poet from the Heian period. Apparently the name of the poet can be used as a pun for okonomiyaki sandwich. Kazuma is declared the winner, but Shachihoko objects to it. He thinks Kazuma violated the rules by flattening his bread. He also thinks that (just) flattened bread couldn’t be so delicious. Kuroyanagi yells at Shachihoko and tells him not to make up rules by himself. Though the bread for the second round is provided by Pantasia’s main store, it’s not against the rules to change the shape/ taste of the bread. Besides, Kawachi already asked him for permission the other day.
Kuroyanagi tells Shachihoko he has been influenced by Nagoya for too long and lost pride of his own people. An Italian-trained American like him should know that Kazuma’s creation is actually closer to a panini than to okonomiyaki (typically Italian food --> flattened grilled bread). Shachihoko realized that Kuroyanagi was right and admited his defeats. Kazuma was glad he won the match and thanked Kawachi for his help. Kawachi tells him he should thank the manager. The manager says to Kazuma he can thank him by giving him the prize money.
After the second round ended, Kuroyanagi announces the winner of the prize money for best yakisoba bread. To everyone’s surprise, Koala was declared the winner.

I enjoyed watching this episode, though I didn’t understand most of the puns. The pose Kuroyanagi made, after he tasted Kawachi’s bread, was a bit lame and not very funny. I liked it when Kuroyanagi undressed himself, though I don’t understand why he did it. I think it’s another pun I don’t understand. Ryuu-san is quite funny. I laughed out loud when he asked the manager if he wanted him to assassinate the animal (referring to Koala) and steal the prize money. He really is an assassin, huh?

Anime-Empire scared me with their little joke. They have either too much free time or they just want to scare the leechers ^_^

Bleach episode 22

Gidanbou was shocked to see Ichimaru Gin at the other side of the gate. Before he could explain anything to him, Ichimaru Gin already drew his Soul Slayer and slashed Gidanbou’s arm with it. Although he was wounded, Gidanbou still held up the gate. He says to Ichimaru he lost and that’s why he opened the gate. Ichimaru replies that if a gatekeeper loses he must die. Yoruichi knows they can’t possibly defeat Ichimaru Gin and wants to think of a plan to retreat. However it was too late, because Ichigo has already rushed towards Ichimaru and attacked him. Yoruichi was shocked and asks Ichigo what he was trying to do. When Ichimaru heard Yoruichi call Ichigo’s name; he asks Ichigo if his name is Kurosaki Ichigo. When Ichigo confirmed it, Ichimaru walks back, draws his Soul Slayer and attacks Ichigo with it. Ichimaru managed to push both Gidanbou and Ichigo outside the gate with just one single blow. Without Gidanbou holding the gate up, the gate closed.
Fortunately, Ichigo wasn’t injured. He asks Orihime to assist in healing Gidanbou. Then they notice that people are coming out from the houses behind them. They didn’t show themselves before, because they were afraid. The people who live in Rukongai are called “Drifters”, souls that came to Soul Society without supervision of Death gods. They are considered to be the cause of all kinds of havoc. Ichigo and the others were cautious, because they think the Drifters might see them as their enemy. Then the chief of Rukongai appears and says to them they have no intention of fighting them. He actually wanted to thank them for saving Gidanbou and welcomes them to Rukongai. Then Chad gets to meet up with a friend of his. It’s Shibata, the boy who used to be a parakeet before Ichigo sent him to Soul Society. Chad gets to spend some time with Shibata and carries him around Soul Society. He finds out that Shibata hasn’t found his mother yet. Chad tells him not to give up, because he believes that one day Shibata will find his mother. Later on Chad says goodbye to Shibata and went with Ichigo to the chief’s house to discuss their strategy. They have to give up on going through the gate again, because the security has most likely become heavier. There is one other way to enter Seireitei, but they will need the help of someone called Shiba Kukaku. The chief of Rukongai seemed surprised when Yoruichi mentioned that name. Their meeting got interrupted by a man who suddenly barged into the house with his boar. Apparently his boar, Bonnie-chan, threw him off again. The chief seems to know that man. The guy’s name is Ganju. He looks at Ichigo and asks the chief why there is a Death god here. The chief tells Ganju that Ichigo is a good guy, but according to Ganju there are no good or bad Death gods. Ganju keeps on saying things to piss Ichigo off, until Ichigo couldn’t take it anymore and whacks Ganju in the head. After he got up again, Ishida asks Ganju who he really is. Ganju introduces himself as:
- self proclaimed Rukongai’s deep bullet
- self proclaimed North Rukongai’s number 1 person to call aniki (boss, someone to look up to), 14 years in a row
- self proclaimed number 1 Death god hater
Ichigo calls him a moron and the two of them started to fight. Ishida and the others wanted to interfere, but got stopped by Ganju’s minions (who ride on boars as well). Although Ganju seems like an experienced fighter, Ichigo was the one taking the upper hand. Their match had to remain undecided though, because the alarm clock, tied on the back on one of Ganju’s minions, went off and freaked out Ganju and his gang.

Anime Gin is creepier than manga Gin. He looked so devilish, it gave me the creeps. Though I do like his “bye, bye!”. I was surprised to see that Gin didn’t cut off Gidanbou’s arm, like he did in the manga. Guess the scene would have been too bloody for television broadcast.
Anyway, the best part of this episode has got to be the Ganju-Ichigo scenes. When the two of them get together they are so funny. I also like the name of Ganju’s boar (Bonnie-chan) and his self proclaims.

Btw, I am starting to doubt that Bleach will end with 26 episodes!

Hasumi needs to go somewhere and asks Kantarou to take care of Rosalie while he is gone. Everyone is happy to have Rosalie stay over until they find out that Rosalie is being possessed by youkai all the time. Luckily Kantarou is there to chase away the youkai. Muu-chan appeared at Kantarou’s house as well. Rosalie seems to prefer Muu-chan over her own plushie. Meanwhile Haruka was feeling blue and refuses to come down from the roof. All he does is sit there and look at the talisman Yuri gave to him.
Kantarou seems to be the only one worried about Minamoto. He wonders why they haven’t come to challenge them yet; after they went through so much trouble before. Minamoto and Ibaragi are actually planning on something. That night Ibaragi was in a dark room playing a song on a instrument. The song seems to effect Haruka and causes him to have a nightmare. Haruka dreams of himself in a swamp, being surrounded by dozens of oni. After he woke up, Rosalie was in his room as well. She was acting a bit weird though and tried to steal his talisman away from him. Haruka stopped her and Rosalie returned to normal. Kantarou was watching from behind the door and noticed a light was coming from the talisman.
The next day Suzu invites Haruka to go to Asakusa with her. Youko and Rosalie come along as well. Kantarou stayed home, because he needed to investigate something. Youko was worried about Rosalie, because she forgot to bring Kantarou’s talisman with her. Without it Rosalie can be possessed by youkai very easily. Haruka tells Youko, he will take care of any youkai that shows up. Back at Kantarou’s house, Sugino showed up looking for Muu-chan. Kantarou was busy doing some research. He wants to look up some information about the light that came from Haruka’s talisman. Kantarou found what he was looking for in one of his books. He then asks Sugino to fly him somewhere. Meanwhile Haruka and the others where on the Asakusa Twelve Floors (a tower in Asakusa) doing some sightseeing. Youko and Rosalie walked away to give Suzu some time alone with Haruka. Suzu took a present out of her pocket and gave it to Haruka to cheer him up, because he has been feeling down lately. Haruka thanked Suzu for the present and watched the view with her. Then Youko screamed, because there was something wrong with Rosalie. She was being possessed by an evil spirit again and wanted Haruka’s talisman. Apparently Haruka’s talisman contains the Sorcerer’s Stone, which contains magical energy that draws youkai to it. Haruka doesn’t want to hurt Rosalie, but has no choice. Then the Sorcerer’s Stone in Haruka’s talisman starts to glow and effects Haruka. Haruka starts to remember about his past and became mad. Meanwhile Kantarou and Sugino have arrived at the scene. Haruka attacks Rosalie with his lightning and hit the Asakusa Twelve Floors as well. Kantarou tries to stop Haruka by using a spell. He somehow managed to break the Sorcerer’s Stone, but he couldn’t prevent Haruka from remembering his past as an Oni-Eater Tengu.

I knew Rosalie couldn’t resist Muu-chan. She immediately grabbed Muu-chan the moment she saw her. It makes me wonder why Rosalie likes Muu-chan so much and why does she has a plushie that looks exactly like Muu-chan?
Anyway, Tactics is getting better by the episode. Haruka’s past intrigues me. Though I don’t understand why Ibaragi is interested in Haruka. What is her relationship with Minamoto? What are her motives? Only five more episodes to go…………..

The townspeople were being possessed by spirits and came to Kantarou’s place for help. At first Kantarou had no idea what was going on, until Rosalie showed up. She was trying to hide herself from Hasumi, because he was acting strangely. Hasumi was possessed by a cat spirit and started to act like one. Rosalie tells Kantarou she saw the place where everyone got possessed by youkai. It was at a Shougiku performance.
Kantarou, Haruka and Youko wanted to see the performance to investigate the case. Unfortunately the performance is widely popular and the tickets have already been sold out. They wanted to give up, but then they saw a girl being harassed by some thugs. Haruka saves the girl and finds out she is Shougiku’s apprentice. Her name is Yuri and she has fallen in love with Haruka at first sight. Kantarou takes advantage of this and makes a proposition to Yuri. Haruka will become Yuri’s bodyguard, in exchange she will arrange for them to meet with Shougiku. Yuri immediately agrees, much to Haruka’s annoyance. For the next few nights Haruka become Yuri’s bodyguard and was responsible for seeing her home safely. Shougiku was watching the two of them all the time. The next day she gives Yuri a talisman, which binds marriage , and tells her it would help her love life. Yuri believes everything Shougiku says and gave the talisman to Haruka. Haruka was surprised that Yuri gave him a marriage talisman. He was even more surprised when she kissed him on the cheek.
Yuri arranged for Kantarou to meet with Shougiku. When Yuri went to Shougiku’s room to tell her about it; she saw Shougiku and Haruka in a rather intimate position. It wasn’t the real Haruka, but just an illusion. Yuri didn’t know that and became jealous, which was exactly what Shougiku wanted. Shougiku opens the lit of a jar and released an evil spirit to posses Yuri. It turns out Shougiku is actually Ibaragi in disguise. She planned all of this with Minamoto.
When Kantarou, Haruka and even Sugino and Muu-chan arrived at Shougiku’s house, Ibaragi started to play on an instrument. The strange thing about it though is that only Haruka and Sugino can hear the sound it produces. Apparently the instrument produces a sound that can only heard by Tengu. The sound of the instrument was torturing Haruka. Kantarou wanted to help him, but Sugino told him not to because Haruka is remembering his past, which might be a good thing. Minamoto and Watanabe appeared as well. They planned all of this to have Haruka remember his past and regain his sealed away powers. Minamoto’s ancestors were youkai exterminators. The only youkai they couldn’t defeat was Haruka. Minamoto wants to restore Haruka’s heart and strength before he defeats him. He turned Yuri into a youkai so Haruka could defeat her and become stronger. Yuri appeared and started to fight Haruka. The fight ended very quickly though, because Haruka dropped the talisman Yuri gave to him. When the two of them saw the talisman they regained consciousness. Yuri has lost all of her memories and has to stay in a hospital for a while.

Moyism was right about this episode. I thought it was just going to be another filler episode, but I was so wrong. Yuri is kawaii; the stolen kiss scene was sweet. Though I don’t think that Haruka feels the same for her. Minamoto and Ibaragi are sugoi villains. I usually tend to hate the bad guys, but for some reason I like them. Can’t wait to see the next episode. I want to know what Minamoto is up to. There is something weird about the talisman Yuri gave to Haruka.

Yakitate!! Japan episode 14

Kawachi is feeling overconfident, because his first opponent is a middle-aged woman. Ken scolds at him and tells him not to let his guard down. His next opponent is Motohashi Yuuko and she has been in the school lunch industry for thirty years. She is Top Queen of the School Lunch Center plus she has “Mother’s Hands”. After hearing Ken say all those things about his opponent, Kawachi became less confident and somewhat scared. He imagines how though his opponent is. Right after the first round started for the B group, Kuroyanagi announces Kawachi as the winner. It’s because Kawachi used crunchy pie dough instead of cookie dough. Mixing it with the bread dough would make wonderful melon bread. Kawachi was surprised by the result. Later on he finds out that Ken lied to him. Motohashi Yuuko isn’t Top Queen of the School Lunch Center and she doesn’t possess Mother’s Hands. Ken made that up, because he didn’t want Kawachi to let his guard down. Kawachi (almost) became careless, because his opponent was a middle-aged woman and because of his Solar Gauntlets.
Then Mizuno appeared with Koala guy. She wants to make a bet with Tsukino, because Kazuma is facing Koala guy in the third round. If Kazuma loses, Tsukino will have to step down from the battle over the succession of the Pantasia Group. Same goes for Mizuno as well; if Koala loses she will have to step down. If one of them (Kazuma or Koala) gets defeated in the second round, the other one will automatically be declared the winner. To make sure she will keep her word, Mizuno even prepared a contract. Tsukino signed it without hesitation. Ken, Kawachi and Kazuma were a bit shocked by Tsukino’s decision, but then Tsukino says to them she is happy with what she has got now, because they are by her side. At the same time, in the southern Pantasia store, Mushroom Head (I keep forgetting about his name) felt alienated.
Then someone behind them starts to scream, because his favorite baseball team was losing. Kawachi remarks that there is some weird foreigner speaking fluently Japanese mixed in among them. The foreigner recognized Kawachi was speaking in a Kansai dialect. He immediately walks over to Kawachi and tells him he is an enemy. He pushes Kawachi aside and starts to talk to Kazuma. He says to Kazuma that he saw he had an excellent first round. When Kazuma asked him who he is; the foreigner introduced himself. His name is Spencer Henly Hokou (shortened to Shachihoko) and he is the representative from the Nagoya prefecture. Shachihoko is also Kazuma’s next opponent. Kawachi doesn’t seem to believe Shachihoko, because according to him there is no Nagoya prefecture. Shachihoko insists he is from the Nagoya prefecture and even uses violence to convince Kawachi. Kawachi doesn’t seem to care though. He is counting on Kazuma to kick Shachihoko and the Koala guy in his place. Mizuno and Koala guy were watching from a distance. She knows Shachihoko, because she tried to scout him for her branch. He declined her offer, because he has a real Nagoya fetish. Kazuma will have a hard time facing Shachihoko in the second round.
Kuroyanagi announces the theme of the second round, which is yakisoba (fried buckwheat noodles). The candidates don’t have to make the bread, because the breads have already been prepared (French rolls). They have to make the yakisoba that goes with the bread. This time the best yakisoba bread will be chosen amongst the winners and presented with a reward of 100,000 yen. The second round for B group will start the day after tomorrow and for group A the day after that.
After the four of them left the Pantasia main store Kawachi asks why the theme for the second round is yakisoba bread. Ken explains that originally, Pantasia had never considered to becoming a chain. However Pantasia earned a really high reputation, and began to increase its tempo, later expanding into a chain. After a while Pantasia had to come up with new products (butter rolls, yakisoba bread) to sell to their customers. Kazuma was feeling depressed, because he has never made yakisoba bread before. Ken takes them to a Chinese noodles wholesale retail store and introduces them to an old friend of his, Ryuu Ryomen. Ryuu Ryomen is a member of a Chinese assassination group, but is also an expert at noodle making. For the next few days Kazuma and Kawachi have to learn how to make perfect noodles that goes with the yakisoba bread. Kawachi seems to have a talent for noodle making while Kazuma sucks at it. Kazuma has to try much harder, because his opponent Shachihoko won’t be defeated so easily.

I was actually looking forward to see Kawachi’s Solar Gauntlets so I was a bit disappointed when he won from his opponent so easily. Mizuno is still a pain in the a*s. I wish she could just shut up. Shachihoko looks strange; he doesn’t look like a bread artisan at all. I’m surprised Kuroyanagi hasn’t commented on his appearance yet.
One thing I like about this series, is that it never fails to surprise me with new, weird and also interesting characters. Ryuu Ryomen is one of them. An assassin and a noodle-making expert? That’s not something I could come up with. I wonder where Ken knows him from. It’s a bit suspicious if you ask me.

I've been slow with blogging, because..............

As some of you may have noticed; I have been a bit slow with blogging lately. I'm currently on medication. It's nothing serious, but these medicines do make me feel nauseous and tire me out. I probably won't have the energy to do much blogging. I'll skip the following series for this week:

Peach Girl episode 7

I don't have the time or energy to write a long summary of this episode. I'll just summarize the most important things that happened.

Momo and Touji are now officially a couple, thpugh they haven't kissed yet. Touji also shaved his head as a punishment for hurting Momo.
Kairi tried to avoid Momo, but Momo couldn't stand it and went to look for him. She tells Kairi she probably would have fallen in love with him if she had met him before she met Touji.
Sae is basically being ignored by everyone and has turned into a 2D-doll (she has become flat and tiny). Momo is the only one still trying to be nice to her.
One time Sae accidentally bumped into a famous male model named Jigoro. For some unknown reasons he is attracted to her. Perhaps it's because he pities her, because he saw her kiss up to Momo. He even went to Sae's school to look for her. When he found her he kissed her, which turned Sae back to her normal self.

Quite a boring episode. Momo and Touji are all lovey dovey. Poor Kairi, it must be hard for him to see them like that. Stupid Momo actually told Kairi she would have fallen in love him if she had met him before she met Touji. That's the stupidest thing a girl can say. Doesn't she realize that by saying such things she will only hurt Kairi more.
Sae is back and I think she is out on revenge. That male model Jigoro is pretty stupid. He actually thinks Sae is the victim here. Boy is he in for a surprise, now that the "real" Sae has returned.

Youko was trying to catch some falling leaves. A young man, who happened to walk by, saw that and clapped his hands when Youko managed to catch a leaf. The next day the young man
came to Kantarou for help. His name is Fushimiya Yoshio and he is a dealer in kimono fabric. His store was being harassed by white snakes, causing him to lose workers. He can’t even find someone to do the chores for him. Youko said she was willing to work for him if he paid her. Yoshio was happy to hear that and immediately agreed to hire Youko. She started to work at the Fushimiya house. Yoshio’s father dislikes Youko because he thinks she is after Yoshio’s money. Youko didn’t mind it though. She is okay with it as long as she gets paid for what she does. Yoshio started to like Youko and the feeling seemed mutual. Then one time, when Youko brought Yoshio his dinner, Yoshio gave Youko a present. It was a hairpin he bought for her. Youko was very happy with the present and thanked Yoshio. Then Yoshio’s father suddenly barged into the room. He scolded at Yoshio and asked him if he had taken the meals to the back room yet. Yoshio replied he hasn’t taken the meals to the back room yet. His father told him to hurry up and take care of it. He was afraid “she” will get upset. Youko offered to take the meals to the back room, but when she touched the tray the entire house began to shake. Youko asked Yoshio who was in the back room. He replied that the person in the back room is his mother, though they are not related by blood. Yoshio took the tray to the back room, where his mother was. His mother asked him if he has forgotten that the head of the Fushimiya family is not allowed to get married. If he wants their business to do well, he must listen to her.

The next day Youko saw Yoshio working in his room. She asked him what he was doing. Yoshio was actually thinking of ways to improve their business, because he is losing business partners and customers. People prefer western clothing over Japanese clothing. Yoshio then said to Youko he actually doesn’t need to do anything to keep the business going. God is protecting the business. It doesn’t matter who the head of the house is. It was only coincidence that he was adopted. Yoshio thought everything was fine the way it is, but he doesn’t think that way now. He wants to bring Fushimiya success, by his own power. He feels this way because of Youko.
Outside Yoshio’s room, Youko met Yoshio’s father. He asked her what the meaning is of all this. Youko doesn’t understand what he was saying. Yoshio’s father became mad and told her not to play dumb, because Yoshio won’t be married. Yoshio interrupted their conversation and told his father to stop. It looked like Yoshio’s father wanted to hit him. Youko tried to stop them, but then the house started to shake again. Yoshio’s father told Yoshio to get rid of Youko. He refused and asked Youko to stay with him.

Youko decided to help Yoshio and went home to get a spell. Haruka saw her and asked her why she was helping a human. Youko replied because it was so sad. After Youko placed the spell in Yoshio’s house, the harassing of the white snakes stopped. She also helped Yoshio revive his business, by using the kimono fabric to produce couch covers.
A few days later Yoshio wanted Youko to try on a kimono that has been in his family for generations. It’s the wedding kimono for the head of the Fushimiya. Meanwhile the spell Youko placed started to come off. It came off entirely after Youko tried on the kimono. Then the kimono started to strangle Youko. Yoshio knew who was behind all this and took Youko to his mother. He begged her to save Youko, but she refused. His mother replied that she has been the only bride for the Fushimiya’s for generations. This is something that can’t be changed. She told Yoshio to learn by Youko’s death and swear to her. Yoshio said he will leave the house with Youko and that he doesn’t care about the Fushimiya anymore. His mother became enraged. She turned into a white snake and started to strangle Yoshio. Then Haruka and Kantarou appeared. Haruka attacked the snake, but it had no effect because white snakes can manipulate the clouds and they are the god of water incarnate. Youko didn’t want to see Yoshio suffer and used her hairpin to stab the snake. Kantarou told Haruka to aim at the hairpin, because the hiarpin can transfer Haruka’s attack. Yoshio was happy to see his mother suffer. He even said that all youkai can go to hell. Youko was shocked after she heard that.
The next day Yoshio told Youko he wants to move to Kyoto and start a new life. He wanted Youko to come with him. Youko then asked him if he really dislikes youkai. After he said he did, she told him she can’t go with him because she is a youkai as well.

I dislike this episode. Why? Because it was another filler-episode. Youko is a likable character and I feel sorry for what happened to her, but this isn’t what I want to see. I really want to know what the animators are trying to do. These filler episodes have absolutely nothing to do with the main arc. They are usually very boring and confusing as well. Frankly I don’t even care what happens to Youko, Suzu or Reiko. They are not interesting or funny enough. The next episode seems promising, but I won’t get my hopes up because I don’t want to be disappointed again.

Bleach episode 21

Ichigo and the others have to go through a (dark) tunnel before they arrive in Soul Society, but that was easier said than done. The walls of the tunnel have a life of their own and were closing in on them. Ishida got distracted for a moment and was almost sucked into the walls. Luckily Chad helped him out and carried him on his back. Then something appeared behind them. It was Goutotsu, the cleaner of the tunnel that comes every seven days. Ichigo and the others had to run even faster to avoid being "cleaned" by the cleaner. When the cleaner almost closed in on them, Orihime used her powers to create a shield to protect them. The cleaner hit against the shield and caused an explosion. The explosion blasted Ichigo and the others right into Soul Society. They arrived in Rukongai, the outer area of Soul Society. Rukongai is where the poorest, freest and most abundant souls live. The Death gods live in Seireitei, the inner area of Soul Society. Ichigo wanted to enter Seireitei, but was stopped by a huge wall that appeared out of nowhere. A large man appeared as well. His name is Gidanbou and he is the gatekeeper. For the 300 years he has been the gatekeeper, not a single intruder has managed to pass the gate. Yoruichi wanted to come up with a plan to defeat Gidanbou, but Ichigo already walked up to Gidanbou and wanted to challenge him. Orihime and Chad wanted to help Ichigo, but were stopped by Gidanbou. He wanted to have an one-on-one battle with Ichigo.

Gidanbou attacked Ichigo first, but his attack was easily blocked. He complimented Ichigo, because up till now only three people have managed to block his first attack. No one has been able to block his second attack though. After saying this, Gidanbou started to attack Ichigo ten times in a row. Ichigo managed to block all his attacks though. Gidanbou became enraged and took out a second axe. Ichigo apologized to him and said he will crush those axes. Ichigo is a man of his words, because after apologizing to Gidanbou he used his Soul Cutter to crush his axes. Gidanbou hadn't realised his axes were crushed and wanted to continue the fight, but after he saw that his axes are gone he broke down in tears. Ichigo felt uncomfortable seeing Gidanbou like this and thought it might comfort him if he apologized for breaking his axes. Gidanbou thinks Ichigo is a great guy, because he even cares for his enemy. He admitted his defeat and decided to open the gate for Ichigo and the others. Everyone was surprised by Gidanbou's enormous strength, because the gate is extremely heavy. When the gate was half open, Gidanbou suddenly stopped. He stopped because he saw that the captain of the third division, Ichimaru Gin, has appeared before them.

Ishida is funny. I can't believe he brought a spare cape with him. Besides, who still wears a cape nowadays?
The fight between Ichigo and Gidanbou was kinda boring. As expected Ichigo won very easily. I guess the training with Urahara really paid off, huh? I hope the upcoming battles will be more interesting, because for now they are a bit one-sided. I want to see some suffering, I want to see some blood.............bwahahahahahaha!!!

Kairi embraces Momo and tells her not to cry anymore. He loves the smile she has when she is with Touji. Kairi hopes Momo can always smile like that, but he knows he can’t bring forth that smile alone. He wishes her good luck in her next races and leaves the locker room. Momo was confused. She decides to forget about what happened and concentrate on the match. Meanwhile Sae overheard her classmates talking about Momo. They wonder why Momo is losing her matches. Sae apologizes to them and says it’s her fault that Momo is losing, because Momo is jealous of all the attention Sae is getting. Sae’s classmates believe everything she says, because they think Momo is trying to steal Touji away from Sae. Sae tells her classmates that Momo did horrible things when Touji was in the hospital. Kairi suddenly showed up and interrupted Sae. Sae was afraid Kairi would expose her and drags him away. She drags him to the place where Touji was waiting, but Sae didn’t know Touji was there. Sae tells Kairi not to expose her or she would go crying to the teacher and tell him that Kairi was violent to her. Kairi pretends to be scared by Sae’s threat and starts to praise her, telling her that she must be very smart to be able to have the entire Class 3 under her control. He asks to tell her how she did it. Sae tells him it is easy. If he sees an injured deer next to a lion what would he think? Kairi replies he would think that the lion did something to the deer. Sae continued her explanation and said that what if she and Momo were in their places and Sae was crying. Everyone would think that the one who cries is the weaker one. If Momo were to say that Sae is trying to steal Touji away from her, no one would believe her. Momo even looks like the kind of girl to do all that, since everyone judges on appearance – even Touji. Kairi then said to Sae that her period of rule would end when Touji is let out of the hospital. Touji would tell everyone that Sae is not his girlfriend. Sae calls Kairi an idiot, because summer vacation is about to start. If she makes Touji hers during that time, everything will go her way. After saying that she went back to the pool. Touji finally understands what kind of person Sae really is, and feels guilty about not trusting Momo.
After Sae went back to the pool she was surprised to see that everyone was cheering for Momo. Everyone changed their mind about Momo, because she was winning her matches. Sae was getting very mad, but then she heard something interesting about Momo. A few girls of another class were saying that they saw Kairi embrace Momo when she was in her underwear.
During lunchtime Momo saw Sae in the cafeteria. Sae says to Momo, she heard that she was embracing Kairi in her underwear. Sae continues and says to Momo she has strange taste in men, because Kairi is a player. He has never dated anyone seriously. Sae thinks Momo is being played with by Kairi and she will eventually be tossed aside. Momo couldn’t stand Sae badmouthing Kairi and slaps her in the face. Sae cries out loud and draws the attention of everyone in the cafeteria. Everyone thinks that Momo is bullying Sae and wants her to apologize to Sae. Touji and Kairi just arrived in the cafeteria and saw that Momo was in trouble. Kairi says to Touji he has a plan to save Momo and tells him to follow him. Kairi opens a closet in the hallway and pulls out a rope. He uses the rope to tie up Touji and pushes him into the closet. Kairi tells Touji he is really stupid thinking he could just come back and get all the good parts. Kairi will save Momo by himself and then Momo would be grateful to him and even fall in love with him. Kairi actually wants Touji to save Momo. He tied him up as a punishment for making Momo cry.
Back at the cafeteria, Momo still refuses to apologize to Sae. Two of the male classmates grab Momo and forces her to kneel down and apologize to Sae. Momo tries to resist, but isn’t strong enough. Luckily Touji has managed to free himself and barges into the cafeteria. He saves Momo and exposes Sae’s schemes. Sae denies everything, but Kairi has found a few of Sae’s victims who came in the cafeteria to testify against her. Everyone now understands what kind of person Sae really is. They apologized to Momo and left the cafeteria. Touji apologizes to Momo as well and asks her to give him another chance. Momo apologizes to Touji as well and agrees to start over with him.

Finally Sae is dethroned, it serves her right for being so mean to everyone. Kairi is pretty smart, being able to expose Sae’s true nature to everyone. I’m anxious to see how everyone would treat Sae, now her true colors have been exposed.
Touji and Momo are finally back together, although I still prefer the Kairi – Momo pairing. Kairi really deserves to be with Momo and I think Momo is starting to have feelings for him as well. For now Momo has chosen to be with Touji. I just hope that Touji will treat her nicely. If he dares to hurt her again, I will…………………….……….

Byakuya went to visit Rukia to tell her the date of her execution. After he left the prison someone talked him. When he looked behind him he saw two Death gods. Apparently they are captains as well. One of them has silver/blue hair and the other one has spiked hair and an eye-patch. The Death god with the silver/blue hair started to tease Byakuya. He said he was worried about him feeling down, because his sister was getting executed. The Death god with the eye-patch said that Byakuya won’t be feeling down, because nobles do not need criminals. Byakuya replied he was surprised a commoner like him would understand the troubles of nobles. The Death god with the eye-patch continued his teasing and offered to cut off Rukia’s head before the execution. Byakuya replied he didn’t think an unskilled person like him could cut people’s head off. The two would have gotten into a fight if the Death god with the silver/blue hair hadn’t tied up his partner and dragged him away.
Back at the human world, Ichigo was still trying to knock off Urahara’s hat. He thinks Urahara couldn’t hurt him with his sword, because it wasn’t a Soul Cutter. Urahara proved him wrong by calling out his Soul Cutter’s name: Benihime. By calling out its name the Soul Cutter changed into his true form. Urahara continued to attack Ichigo. Ichigo tried to block his attacks with his broken Soul Cutter, but Urahara easily destroyed Ichigo’s Soul Cutter. Ichigo thought he was going to die. Then he suddenly heard a man’s voice calling to him. It’s was the same man who helped him get back his Death god powers. He tells Ichigo not to fear anymore, because his fear is blocking his hearing. Ichigo should throw away his fear, look ahead, go forward, keep on moving and call out the man’s name: Zengetsu. After Ichigo called out his name, his broken Soul Cutter changed its form. It changed into a long sword with no hilt or guard. Seeing Ichigo has a real Soul Cutter now, Urahara wanted to truly start lesson 3. Ichigo apologized and said to Urahara to skillfully evade his attack, because he won’t be able to hold back. Ichigo gathered all his strength and attacked Urahara. Urahara managed to protect himself with a blood shield he put up, but his hat was knocked off his head and damaged. Ichigo successfully cleared all of Urahara’s lessons. At the same time Ishida, Chad and Orihime finished their training as well.
A few days later Ichigo and his family and friends went to the Fireworks Festival. Tatsuke and Orihime came along as well. Tatsuke seemed to know about Orihime’s plans of going to Soul Society. She tells Orihime to work really hard and that she will be waiting for her to come back.
After the festival ended Ichigo went home. He remembered that a week ago Urahara said to him: ”At 1AM seven days from now, please open the window and wait”. When it was 1AM something flew into the room and smashed against the wall. Then a messaged appeared on the wall saying Ichigo should immediately go to Urahara’s store. Right after Ichigo left his house, his father appeared before him and “gave” him his charm. The charm was a gift from Ichigo’s mother. Ichigo said goodbye to his dad and went to Urahara’s store. He was surprised to see Chad, Ishida and Orihime there as well. Urahara told them to go inside. He already finished the gate to Soul Society. Before he lets them pass through the gate, he explained a few things. You can only enter Soul Society if you are a soul, but because Ichigo is the only one who can move around freely as a soul, Urahara build a Soul Converter in the gate. When they pass the gate, they will be converted into souls. The gate can only be openend for four minutes. They need to pass the gate within four minutes or they will be trapped between Soul Society and reality. Yoruichi-san tells them to keep moving forward after they entered the gate. He will accompany them as their navigator.

“Go immediately to Urahara’s store. P.s. if you thought this looked like something as silly as a dying message, then you have no talent in gagging” --> Urahara is so funny. I laughed out loud after hearing his message. Ichigo’s dad is funny as well. I wonder what he was doing on the roof. Although Ichigo’s dad seems a bit weird at times he is still a great parent. He is actually worried about Ichigo. The two Death god are interesting. I especially like the Death god with the silver/blue hair, I believe his name is Gin --> he looks a bit like Fuji of Prince of Tennis (his eyes). The other Death god looks smaller than in the manga plus where’s his lieutenant??
Now I really, really want to see the next episode!

Kantarou found out that there is a society in town called the Mystery Society. It is specialized in solving mysterious phenomenon in a scientific way. Kantarou decided to check out this so-called Mystery Society, because he is afraid they will steal his business.
Meanwhile Hasumi tries to convince Rosalie that monsters and ghosts don’t exist. It’s just a voice in her mind. Rosalie wasn’t pleased after hearing this, because she thinks Hasumi calls her a liar. Hasumi said she misunderstood him, but Rosalie didn’t want to listen to him and walked out the room.
Right after Rosalie left, Kantarou walked in the room. He was surprised to see Hasumi and was even more surprised when Hasumi told him he is the chairperson of the society. Hasumi founded the Mystery Society, because he wants to prove that monsters and ghosts don’t exist. Then one of his students entered the room and said there is another mystery phenomenon. Hasumi asked Kantarou if he wanted to come along, because he wants to crush Kantarou’s worthless delusions. Kantarou agreed to come along for he wants to prove to Hasumi that monsters and ghosts do exist. When they were about to leave the society, a girl called for Hasumi. Her name is Ayame and she is also one of Hasumi’s students. Unlike Hasumi she does believe in the existence of monsters and ghosts and is a fan of Kantarou’s books. The three of them went to visit a dozen of houses and defeated every monster they encountered. Although Hasumi saw the monsters as well, he still denied their existence.
The last mystery of the day takes place in a mansion. The residents are faced with a peculiar mystery. For unexplainable reasons their haircuts change every morning. Kantarou thinks a Keukegen is behind all this ( = a monster that has huge eyes, its body is covered with hair. It’s also known as a phantom monster due to very rare sightings). He asked Ayame to act as bait to lure the Keukegen. His plan failed however, because the Keukegen was attracted to Sugino’s hair. Kantarou used a spell to chase the Keukegen away, but after it left a bald spot appeared on Sugino’s head. Sugino and Kantarou chased after the Keukegen. It eventually landed on Hasumi’s head. Hasumi hasn’t noticed it and was scared when Kantarou and Sugino attacked him. He thinks Kantarou feared he would steal away his business and therefore wants to eliminate him, the founder of Mystery Society. Luckily for Hasumi, Ayame appeared before Kantarou and Sugino could commence their final attack. She thought Hasumi was wearing a wig and pulled the Keukegen of his head to take a closer look at it. She freaked when she saw it wasn’t a wig and threw it op in the air. Kantarou was disappointed, because he wanted to become friends with the Keukegen.
The next morning the Keukegen paid a little visit to Kantarou’s house and scared the living daylights out of Haruka and Youko.

Another filler episode, but this one was hilarious. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Hasumi was funny. He actually thought that Kantarou and Sugino wanted to kill him. I still don’t understand why Hasumi refuses to believe in the existence of monsters and ghosts. He clearly knows a lot about them. Muu-chan and Sugino were funny as well. I liked Muu-chan’s little dance and Sugino’s expressions were enjoyable. Btw, Kantarou's book has a very original title (Mystery, he wrote!)
Okay now, enough with the filler episodes. Show me some Minamoto! Go back to the main arc!!

Tsukino is worried about losing Kazuma to Mizuno, because Kazuma said he is bad at making melon bread. According to the manager, Mizuno’s New Tokyo Branch sells 800 melon breads a day, which even exceeds the main store. After hearing this they became depressed. Then Shinubi, the guy who "saved" Kazumi with his sushi (owner of the sushi store), walked in the room and saw their gloomy faces. Tsukino explained everything to Shinubi. Shinubi replied that everything would be fine if Kazuma wins the match, which would be true if Kazuma wasn’t bad at making melon bread. Kawachi then asked Kazuma why he is bad at making melon bread. Kazuma replied that he doesn’t quite understand what melon bread is, because most melon bread usually doesn’t have melon in it. Melon is simply too expensive in Japan to put in melon bread. Kawachi scolded at Kazuma and asked if it has anything to do with it at such time. Shinubi agreed with Kawachi and tells Kazuma that even he doesn’t wonder why cucumber sushi is called “kappamaki” (“kappa” = water demon found on water beds, “kappamaki” = cucumber wrapped in seaweed). Kazuma understands what they are trying to tell him, but he can’t like the bread itself.

The manager can understand his feeling. He starts to explain that melon bread is so to speak, a Japan, because it was born in Japan. There is however an incomplete portion remained within it. Melon bread has cookie dough covering the bread dough and the two of them are baked together. In order to thoroughly bake cookie dough you need three times the amount of time you need for bread dough. If you want to bake without burning the bread dough, the cookie dough will be left underbaked. If you want to thoroughly bake the cookie dough, the bread dough will be burned black = burnt black bread can’t be sold. Most bakeries sell melon bread with the cookie dough underbaked, which is fine if you were to eat it fresh from food carts. If that’s not the case the underbaked cookie dough absorbs water and its consistency becomes sticky. If they can find a way to conquer the incomplete proportion, they might win. However in the 70 years that melon bread has been around no artisan has ever succeeded in fixing this defect. After hearing this their hopes disappeared again. Shinubi tried to cheer them up by treating them to some sushi. After seeing Shinubi make sushi, Kazuma got an idea and ran out of the room. Tsukino and the others continued to eat sushi and pretended nothing has happened. Tsukino even requested for some salmon roe, but before she could eat it Mizuno already snatched it away from her. Mizuno came to brag about her melon bread and the ingredient she is planning to use (top quality melon). She even gave a melon to Tsukino. After tasting it Tsukino, Kawachi and the manager were even more worried about the match.
Suddenly Kazuma entered the room again and asked Tsukino to go out with him. Tsukino thought it was a date and was surprised when Kazuma took her to a supermarket. Kazuma asked her to go out with him, because he wanted to shop for ingredients but forgot to bring money with him. She asks him what he is trying to make. Kazuma replied he is going to make Japan #58 “Melon Sushi Bread”. Kazuma found the ingredient he was looking for, but Tsukino has doubts about it.
The next day Kuroyanagi tells the candidates assigned to the A group, to go to their designated work places, because the finals are about to start. During the finals everyone was surprised when Kazuma used two ovens to bake his bread. They were also amazed that Mizuno used such a top quality melon as ingredient for her melon bread. After the candidates finished making their melon bread, it was time for Kuroyanagi to do the judging. With the first pair of candidates Kuroyanagi only used his nose to determine the winner. He walked towards the loser and patted him on the shoulder. Kawachi was surprised and thought Kuroyanagi was comforting the loser. What Kawachi didn’t know is that Kuroyanagi wasn't comforting the loser, he was whispering the words “trash, trash, trash…………” in his ears making the loser feel even worse than he already is. The next pair of candidates was Mizuno – Kazuma. Kazuma welcomed Kuroyanagi and treated him like a customer of a sushi bar. After welcoming Kuroyanagi, Kazuma grabbed the bread dough, dipped his fingers into a bowl of green substance, smeared it on the bread dough and “glued” it together with the cookie dough. Kuroyanagi didn’t know what Kazuma was up to, but decided not to let his guard down because he didn’t want to suffer again. He however failed after tasting Kazuma’s melon bread. Kazuma managed to conquer the incomplete portion by baking the cookie dough and bread dough separately. By doing so the cookie dough won’t be underbaked and the bread dough won’t burn black. The green substance he smeared on the bread was melon cream from a can. After Kuroyanagi recovered from the shock, he declared Kazuma the winner. Mizuno wasn’t satisfied with his decision, because he hasn’t even tasted her bread yet it. Kuroyanagi replied he is certain her melon bread is delicious, but it won’t be because of the bread but because of the melon. He wants her to challenge Kazuma with the bread. Kazuma wanted Mizuno to fulfil her promise and call Tsukino “nee-chan”. Mizuno agrees, but on one condition, Kazuma has to become an employee of the New Tokyo Branch. Kazuma refused and made Mizuno mad. She ran away and Kazuma wanted to chase her, but Koala man stopped him.
Now that Kazuma won his first match, the manager starts to worry about Kawachi. His next opponent seems to be pretty strong.

As expected Mizuno is a sore loser. I’m so glad Kuroyanagi yelled at her. He sure has guts to yell at the boss’ granddaughter. I guess Kuroyanagi only cares about bread and takes pride in what he does. As always his expressions were priceless plus he is so sneaky when he pretended to comfort the loser. He is also very flexible.
I’m almost 100% certain that Koala man is Mokoyama, although I don’t understand what he is doing here.
I’m anxious to see the next match. Kawachi has a tough opponent – can’t wait, can’t wait! Btw, I love the new ending --> Ken is the man!!

Sae told everyone in her class that Momo threw an apple at Touji, which caused his wound to break open. Everyone hates Momo now and treated her badly.
The class representative wanted the class to decide on entrants for the swimming competition. He asked if there were volunteers for the competition. Momo didn’t want to enter the competition, because she was afraid to get an even darker tan. Sae thought up of an evil scheme again and recommended Momo to enter the competition. Everyone in the supported Sae’s decision so Momo had no choice.
Momo had to go to swimming practise every day, but she didn’t practise once because she was afraid to get a darker tan. After a while she realised she didn’t have to worry about getting a suntan anymore, because she already broke up with Touji. Kairi went to look for Momo everyday after swimming practise. He said he went to the swimming practise to see girls in swimsuits, but Momo knew he came because he wanted to see how she was doing. Otherwise he wouldn’t have waited until the swimming practise was over. He did that, because he didn’t want to start another rumor and make things more complicated for Momo. After practise the two of them walked home. Momo ran into an old classmate. It was the girl who told Momo that Touji doesn’t like dark-skinned girls. She apologized to Momo and said it was all a lie. She made that up, because back then she liked Touji as well. Touji told her that he likes cheerful and lively girls. After the girl left Momo cried, because she was betrayed again by someone she trusted.
Momo went to the hospital, because she realised she still loves Touji. She couldn’t find the courage to face him, because she still hates Touji for not believing her.
At the day of the swimming competition, Sae was worried that if Momo wins the swimming competition, she would steal away the spotlight from her. To prevent that from happening she asked her classmates to cut the shoulder of Momo’s swimsuit. The girls pushed Momo underwater and tried to cut the shoulder of her swimsuit. Momo resisted and accidentally knocked one of the girls (Kako) unconscious. The two other girls haven’t noticed their classmate was still underwater. Momo felt something was wrong, dove underwater and rescued the gir;. Sae was mad at her classmates, because they failed. The girls started to dislike Sae and thinks she is nothing but a spoiled princess.
Momo first match was about to begin. She saw Kairi asking other girls out and got jealous. Right after the match began, it seemed like Momo was going to win. Unfortunately the shoulder of her swimsuit ripped during the match and caused Momo to forfeit the race. Momo wanted to fix the shoulder of her swimsuit, but she wasn’t able to. The shoulder will rip again if Momo tried to swim fast. Meanwhile Kairi was asking a girl named Sumire to date him, when the wind suddenly blew off her cap. When he turned his head around he saw that the cap landed in front of Touji. Kairi was happy to see Touji and dragged him to the swimming competition. Touji saw Momo was suffering and asked Kairi what happened while he was away. Kairi told him Sae was behind all this. He knew Touji wouldn’t believe him, because he’s completely under Sae’s spell. He told Touji to return to where they just were in thirty minutes. He promises Touji to show him something even better, but Touji mustn’t let anyone see him.
Meanwhile Momo was in the girls’ locker room, looking at her swimsuit. She felt sad and wanted to give up on everything. Then her classmate Kako walked into the locker room. She gave Momo her swimsuit and thanked Momo for saving her. Momo felt less hopeless and regained her confidence. She was getting undressed when Kairi suddenly walked in on her. He wanted to ask her for her a favor. He wanted to hold Momo. At first Momo refused, but after Kairi hugged her she blushed.

Things are starting to get interesting. Touji is back and is about to find out what kind of person Sae really is. Maybe there is still hope for him. Although I prefer the KairixMomo pairing.
Kairi is so sweet and thoughtful, although I don’t understand why he wanted to hold Momo. I think Momo is starting to have feelings for Kairi, because she was jealous when she saw him with other girls and she blushed when he hugged her.
Sae is starting to become less popular in her class, which I don’t mind at all. I hope everyone will turn against eventually.

Kantarou decided to drink his sorrows away, because his sensei recommended Hasumi as a cultural envoy instead of him. Then Reiko went to visit Kantarou and wanted him to investigate a case for her. A father of a church was found unconscious in the church. Kantarou had a hangover from drinking too much and didn’t feel like investigating the matter. With a little encouragement (provocation) by Haruka, Suzu, Reiko and Youko, Kantarou agreed to investigate it. They went to the hospital to visit the father, but when they arrived there the father just passed away. They saw a strange man kneeled next to the bed of the father. The man was saying a prayer for him.
After they left the hospital, Kantarou went to the church by himself. Haruka followed him saying he wanted to kill time. Kantarou noticed the church was filled with evil spirits, but they were all weak ones. He wondered why they were all gathered at the church. Haruka replied that there must be something that attracts them, but he can’t sense anything. Then a girl with blond hair appeared. She asked Haruka why he has wings. Kantarou and Haruka were surprised she could see the wings, because they were hidden. Kantarou wanted to ask her something, but was interrupted by Hasumi. Apparently the girl’s name is Rosalie and she knows Hasumi. Hasumi accused Kantarou for sweet-talking Rosalie and the two of them started to argue. Kantarou asked Hasumi what his relationship with the girl is. He was surprised when Hasumi answered that Rosalie is his daughter. Later that day the four of them went to Numata-sensei’s house to have dinner. After a while Rosalie wanted to go to the bathroom and left the room. Numata-sensei said to Hasumi that he’d never thought Hasumi would adopt a child. Hasumi answered that Rosalie was left all alone in the world and that he couldn’t bear to ignore her. Numata-sensei admired Hasumi kindness, but Kantarou thinks Hasumi adopted Rosalie because of her abilities. Hasumi denied it and told Kantarou not to interfere with him. Kantarou didn’t want to argue with Hasumi and decided to leave the room. He met Rosalie outside the room and wanted to continue the conversation he had with her earlier. He asked her why she goes to that church so often. Seeing that Rosalie didn’t want to answer him, Kantarou left her alone.
The next day Kantarou and Haruka went to the church to vanquish the evil spirits. Muu-chan and Sugino appeared at the church as well. After they entered the church they noticed that all the evil spirits were gone. Kantarou saw that someone has performed an exorcism ritual in the church, which explains why all the evil spirits are gone. Suddenly they heard a man’s voice, it was the same man they saw at the hospital. The man said to them that he has never met a Japanese person before who knows so much about exorcism. Kantarou introduced himself and asked the man for his name. The man answered that his name is Edwards. He is a priest’s aid from the Church of England and he came here as a cultural envoy. After the introduction Edwards wanted to leave. Kantarou noticed Rosalie’s doll on the chair Edwards sat on and asked him if he has seen her. He replied he hasn’t seen her and wanted to leave. Then Rosalie appeared and seemed to be possessed by an evil spirit. She attacked Kantarou, but couldn’t hurt him because Haruka protected him. Haruka counterattacked Rosalie, but couldn’t vanquish the evil spirit because Muu-chan ate it (again).
At the end of this episode Edwards was sitting in a car with Minamoto. The two of them seems to know each other very well. Minamoto was also the one who taught Edwards to perform the exorcism ritual.

Minamoto is back! He is the bad guy, but I like his character. Without him this series would be less enjoyable. Unless Muu-chan and Sugino appeared more often --> they are still my favs. Muu-chan seemed pretty normal in this episode, but that could be just an act. The evil spirit (or should I say spirits) in her body could be working on an evil scheme. Rosalie's plushie looks a lot like Muu-chan. Coincidence - I think not!
I want to see the next episode! Hopefully there will be more Minamoto, Muu-chan and Sugino in the next episodes.

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ episode 5

Asami and her mother make paper flowers and such to earn money. They had to finish countless boxes with paper flowers before tomorrow. Since Sayako (Asami’s mother) didn’t make much progress by herself, Momomo tricked Shiratori into helping them. Later on Asami needed to go the supermarket to do some grocery shopping. Shiratori went with her and helped her carry the groceries.
After they finished eating their dinner the three of them pulled an all-nighter to finish the paper flowers. Shiratori and Asami where happy they finished before the deadline. Unfortunately their happiness didn’t last long, because they discovered that Sayako had many flowers hidden in her sleeves.

This episode was mainly focused on Asami and her mother Sayako. Asami seems more like the mother than Sayako. Sayako is in my opinion a weird character. All she does is eat and sleep. Poor Asami has to take care of everything. If it wasn’t for Asami, Sayako would have been starved to death.
And I was right about Tamami. She really is a devil in disguise. I sure don’t want to get on her bad side.

Bleach episode 19

Byakuya tells Rukia that she will be executed in twenty-five days. Renji was surprised, but Rukia was very calm (but also sad) about it.
At the bottom of the Shattered Shaft, Ichigo was still trying to climb out the hole. Meanwhile Orihime and Chad weren’t making much progress in their training. Yoruichi told them they need to learn to manifest their powers at their will. They need to remember who/ what they wanted to protect the day the awakened their powers. Chad thought of Ichigo’s sister, but had trouble remembering her face. Instead of Karin’s face, he imagined Ichigo with black hair wearing lipstick. Orihime tried to remember who she wanted to protect that day. She had flashbacks of the Hollow and Tatsuki. When she remembered the most important part her hairclips lit up and the six fairies appeared. Tsubaki was mad at Orihime, because she called them out with no reason.
Back at the Shattered Shaft, Ichigo still hasn’t managed to climb out the hole. Jinta and Ururu started to tease him, by treating him to some drool. After a while Jinta climbed down the hole and brought Ichigo some food. He tells Ichigo that seventy hours have already passed. He warns him that the last erosion of his chain of fate is about to start and that this erosion is nothing like the others. After Jinta said that, the last erosion began. Ichigo was shocked because all the remaining links were eroding at the same time. After Ichigo’s chain of fate completely disappeared, Ururu wanted to begin the rescue measures. Urahara told her to wait just a little longer, because Ichigo was still resisting and hasn’t completely changed into a Hollow yet.
The hole on Ichigo’s chest has completely opened and it seemed like Ichigo was “sucked” into it. When he opened his eyes again, he wasn’t in the Shattered Shaft anymore. He was at a strange place and a man was talking to him. Ichigo asked the man who he was, but he wasn’t able to hear the man’s reply. Then he noticed that the man was standing at a strange position. The man said to Ichigo that he is surprised Ichigo can sit at a place like that. Ichigo began to fall while the strange man followed him. He said to Ichigo that Kuchiki Byakuya only destroyed the Death god powers that Rukia lend to him. Kuchiki Byakuya thought that by destroying Rukia’s powers he defeated Ichigo as well, but he failed to see that Ichigo has his own Death god powers. It’s up to Ichigo to find the Death god powers that are hidden within his soul. Meanwhile countless boxes were falling out of the sky. Ichigo’s Death god powers are hidden in of those boxes. Ichigo needed to find his powers before the world he is in completely vanished, otherwise he’ll turn into a Hollow. Ichigo didn’t have much confidence in finding the right box, but then he remembered how Ishida found out that he was a Death god --> Death god’s spirit threads are red. Ichigo started to look for a red spirit thread and managed to find the box attached to it. After he opened the box he saw the hilt of a Soul Slayer. The strange man appeared again. He thanked Ichigo for finding him and he hopes that next time Ichigo will be able to hear his name. Ichigo started to realize who that man was, but before he could confirm it the ground below him started to shake. The man told Ichigo to pull him out immediately.
At that time, Tessai thought that it was already too late for Ichigo and switched to suppression style. After Tessai used his final attack, Ichigo burst into flames and managed to escape from the hole. Jinta wanted to see if Ichigo was alright and walked up to him. The smoke surrounding Ichigo disappeared and Jinta saw Ichigo dressed in Death god clothes wearing a Hollow’s mask. Ichigo took out his broken Soul Slayer and smashed his mask with it. Urahara congratulated Ichigo for clearing lesson two.
Ichigo was pissed and remembered the pact he made when he was in the hole. He said he would kill Urahara if he managed to stay alive. Urahara agreed and said to Ichigo he wanted to continue to lesson three. Lesson three has no time limit. This lesson is cleared if Ichigo manages the knock off Urahara’s hat. Ichigo was a bit cocky and said he could clear this lesson in five minutes.

I should hate Byakuya, but somehow I just can’t hate him. He acts so cold and careless towards Rukia, but I can’t help to think it might be just an act --> although I can’t think of any reasons why he would be being this.
Ichigo’s training was exciting and funny at the same time. Jinta and Ururu are annoying little brats, but I liked the drooling part --> very yummy ^_^. Ichigo’s reaction on their drool was funny too. It almost looked like he was begging them to stop. I can’t wait to see the next episode. Urahara is finally starting to become more serious.
Btw, is it just me or did the (other) world Ichigo was in resembled the Matrix?

Sara had a date with Fujita at the Empire State Building, but instead of Fujita, Sayako Mitamura appeared (Fujita was still sleeping in his hotel room). She wanted to ask Sara about something that happened a year ago.
One year ago, Sayako was appointed to be the new director of the Takada Museum. The first art piece she purchased as the director of the Takada Museum was Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. It is said to have disappeared after World War II. Sayako noticed that Fujita was at her welcoming party as well. The next day she went to visit him and the two of them had a little talk. Sayako dislikes Fujita, because she has heard many rumors about him. She said she would do her best to eliminate people like Fujita, who have made their nest in the art world. Fujita doesn’t seem to be bothered by it though.
Fujita went to the Takada Museum and met a girl named Sara who wanted to touch Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. The next day Sayako went to visit Fujita again. She told him that she visited a museum yesterday and that five paintings that were rumored to be fake had been replaced with their originals. Sayako suspected that Fujita had something to do with it, but he denied everything. Fujita wanted to make a deal with Sayako. He said to her that he has a buyer (Sara) for the Van Gogh's Sunflowers. He will trade the painting for another painting. At first she refused, but then she said she would think about if Fujita agreed to do something for her. She took him to her tea master, who wanted Fujita to restore a broken tea utensil called “Shiba no Iori”. If Fujita is able to restore the Shiba no Iori within a week, Sayako agrees to talk about selling the painting. Sayako and her tea master thought it was impossible for Fujita to restore the Shiba no Iori, because it’s a fake. But, with a little help of the director of the Teikoku Museum Fujita managed to restore the fake Shiba no Iori and even found the real one for Sayako’s tea master. Even though Fujita restored the Shiba no Iori, Sayako still refused to sell the painting to him, because she thinks it’s part of their cultural heritage. Fujita then explained to her that the painting she bought is a fake. It belonged to the father of Sara, who was the king of a small Arabian country. A neighbor country attacked Sara’s country and killed her entire family. Sara managed to escape with the painting. The burn on her right arm proves that the painting belongs to her, because it matches with the burn on the painting. As promised Fujita trade Sayako’s with another painting. To her surprise Fujita traded her fake Sunflowers for the real one.

I’m starting to like this series a bit more. Fujita is an interesting character with exceptional skills and talents. He managed to distinguish the real Shiba no Iori shards from the fake ones without using the machine he borrowed from the Teikoku Museum --> that’s so cool! Sayako is a bit annoying, I don’t like her type. She thinks she's always right and refuses to listen to other people's opinion.
The next episode should be an interesting one, because we get to see more of Fujita’s (awesome) skills.

The newcomers’ battle finals have begun. Kuroyanagi explains that the candidates will be divided into two blocks (block A and block B). Each block will have sixteen candidates. The thirty-two candidates will compete against each other in a tournament system. Since fifty-eight candidates have passed the preliminaries, another preliminaries will be held until there are only thirty-two candidates left.
Then four disqualified candidates appeared at the door. They were not satisfied with the results of the preliminaries. Kuroyanagi only gave them a note with the sentence “You’ve failed, garbage!” written on it. Kuroyanagi replied that he’d show the trash (he was referring to the disqualified candidates) the disqualified results of the trash they have produced. Two men dressed in black took out three garbage cans filled with moldy bread. Kuroyanagi continued his “lecture” (insults) and said to one of the disqualified candidates (Umino Katsuo of the Tsugaru branch) that he remembers his bread really well. Because, at the grading stage of the bread, it was his bread that left him with the memory of the most unpleasant bread he had ever tasted. Kuroyanagi said to Umino Katsuo he is trash, because he only thought of clearing the topic and didn’t consider the taste. Kazuma asked Kuroyanagi to give them a second chance, but Kuroyanagi refused. Umino admits he is trash and begged Kuroyanagi to give him another chance. He said he’ll do anything, but Kuroyanagi finds him annoying and ordered his men to throw him out. Umino was very persistent and refused to leave. Kuroyanagi told him to quiet down and said to him and the three other candidates to show him their determination. If one of them is willing to eat their own “trashy” bread, Kuroyanagi will think about giving them a second chance.

The three others refused, but Umino was willing to eat the bread. He walked to the garbage cans and was able to identify his own bread by its smell. The manager noticed that Umino has an incredible nose. Umino was about to eat the moldy bread, but was stopped by Kazuma. He said to Kuroyanagi that this should be enough, because Umino already showed his determination. The manager pretended to be Meister Kirisaki and told Kuroyanagi to give Umino another chance. He couldn’t fool Kuroyanagi though. Then the manager reminded Kuroyanagi that he too was once in a situation like Umino’s. Two years ago Kuroyanagi begged the manager to make him a student of his. The manager blackmailed Kuroyanagi a bit, so Kuroyanagi had to give in. When Umino asked Kazuma why he helped him, Kazuma replied that he reminded him of the pig, Sanpi, they keep at home.

The topic for the second preliminary is butter rolls. Kuroyanagi’s assistants pushed out a table with eight different varieties of butter (A-H). It ranges from the world’s best butter to regular home consumption butter. The candidates are not allowed to taste the butter and have a time limit of three hours to make the butter roll. Kazuma can’t tell the difference between the butter so he decided to just go with the C butter. The other candidates recognised Kazuma as the boy who came to a draw with St. Pierre’s manager, Mokoyama, and decided to follow his decision. Kuroyanagi is disappointed with Kazuma’s decision, because C butter is trash it can’t be even called butter.
Umino used his nose to sniff the butter and decided to go with the A butter. Kuroyanagi is impressed with Umino’s decision, because A butter is Echire butter --> the best butter in the world. Kawachi still hasn’t decided which butter he should use. He saw how Umino picked the A butter, but was still a bit hesitant. Then he noticed that all the butter has melted except for the G butter. Kawachi realised something and decided to go with the G butter. According to Kuroyanagi, the G butter is even more suitable for the butter roll than the A butter, because G butter has a low water content. The taste of the bread will not be overpowered by it and it reduces the weak point of the butter roll, it’s stickiness. Kazuma surprised everyone by finishing his butter roll in three minutes. After all the candidates finished their butter roll, Kuroyanagi announced the results. The candidates who chose the G butter and the A butter have all passed, which comes to a total of twenty-nine candidates plus Suwabara, who was exempted from the preliminaries because he is an employee of the main store, comes to a total of thirty candidates. The thirteen candidates who chose the C butter are all disqualified, because C butter is margarine and not butter. The candidates were mad at Kazuma and wanted him to apologize. Suwabara stood up for Kazuma and told the candidates to stand back. Suwabara was disgusted by them, because they only depend on other people’s choice instead of their own strength. Suwabara then told Kuroyanagi that an artisan of his level didn’t even notice Kazuma’s “Ultra C”.

Kuroyanagi then realised what Kazuma did and told him to hand over his bread. After tasting it, Kuroyanagi let Kazuma pass the preliminaries. Apparently Kazuma reversed the handicap of the C butter by applying “vapor action”. The butter roll is normally baked for about fifteen minutes at a temperature less than 200 °C. But if you expose it to a super high temperature of over 300 °C for the short period of three minutes, it would make the water content within the bread dough explode instantly, causing the bread to puff up and be done. Timing is crucial, because if you go over the time period the bread will burn. After eating Kazuma’s tasty margarine roll Kuroyanagi didn’t want to sully his mouth by tasting the other candidates “trash” breads and decided to have the remaining twenty-seven candidates use rock-paper-scissors to decide who the last person will be to enter the finals. The finals will start tomorrow at noon.
The manager seemed a bit worried, because Tsukino’s little sister, Mizuno, passed the preliminaries as well. Mizuno approached Kazuma and tried be become friendly with him. She went to Tsukino and called her Tsukino-san instead of sister. When she tried to be friendly with Kazuma again, Tsukino asked her not to stick to her employee for every little thing and even called her “thieving cat“. Mizuno replied that Tsukino’s mother is the thieving cat. Tsukino got mad after hearing this and wanted to hit Mizuno in the face. Kazuma however was the one who got hit, because Mizuno used him as a shield. Kazuma was pissed and called Tsukino an idiot. Tsukino couldn’t take it anymore and left the room. The manager told Mizuno to go back to her station and asked Kawachi and Kazuma to follow him. The manager explained to Kawachi and Kazuma that Tsukino is actually an illegitimate child. She has a different mother than Mizuno and her older sister Yukino. Tsukino’s grandfather is partial towards Yukino and Tsukino’s father is partial towards Mizuno. Tsukino basically has no one to support her except for the manager, who left the main store because he wanted to support Tsukino. Kazuma and Kawachi were touched after hearing this and decided to win the newcomers' battle finals for Tsukino. Back at the main store, Kuroyanagi has already divided the candidates in block A and block B. Kazuma, Mizuno and Suwabara are in block A and Kawachi in block B. Meanwhile the manager warns Kawachi and Kazuma about a newcomer who wears a koala mask and calls himself Koala, because he carries himself in a way that makes it hard to believe he is a newcomer.
The theme of the finals is melon bread. Kazuma first opponent is Mizuno. Kazuma asked her to promise him to call Tsukino “nee-chan” if Kazuma wins. Mizuno agreed on one condition, if Kazuma loses he has to become an employee of the New Tokyo Branch.

Kuroyanagi is so funny. I like his expressions and I like it when he calls people trash. He truly deserves to be the winner of the 2004 Best Expression Award.
Kazuma is still adorable naive. I laughed out loud when he told Umino the reason he helped him. The manager's impersonation of Meister Kirisaki was priceless.
Mizuno is very annoying and a real tomboy. I hope Kazuma will win from her very easily in the next round. The Koala man resembles St. Pierre’s Mokoyama. If he is Mokoyama, I wonder what his motives are for entering the newcomers’ battle finals.
I can’t wait for the next episode! I want to see, I want to see………..

The air conditioning in Tenma’s house still hasn’t been fixed yet. Tenma was slightly panicking, because Akira, Suou and Sawachika are coming over to do some studying.
Meanwhile Imadori was calling every girl listed in his cell phone, hoping one of them would have the time to go out with him. Then he got hit by a door that suddenly opened. The girl who opened the door was Ichijou. She is Imadori’s classmate and an amateur wrestler. Ichijou apologized to Imadori and the two of them talked for a while.
Meanwhile Sawachika already arrived at Tenma’s house. The two of them started do some homework when Sawachika suddenly asked Tenma if she has seen a guy’s body before (because she can’t stop thinking about Harima’s naked body). She was surprised when Tenma said she has. Sawachika thinks that Tenma has an adult relationship (with Karasuma), while Tenma was actually talking about a wrestling game she saw with Karasuma. Sawachika continued to ask Tenma questions about guys and different “positions”. Then Tenma wanted to ask Sawachika something, it’s about Harima. Tenma tells Sawachika that Harima has a crush on Suou. Sawachika was a bit shocked after hearing this. Tenma continued to talk and said she wasn’t surprised that Harima likes Suou, because she is cute. Sawachika replied that Suou isn’t that cute, at the same time Suou opened the door and heard what Sawachika said.
The electrician and his assistant arrived at Tenma’s house. The assistant is actually Harima. Yakumo wanted to capture Iori (her cat), because he was injured. Iori however was mad at Yakumo because she has been very strict to him lately. Harima helped Yakumo capture Iori. That’s when Yakumo noticed that Harima is a kind person.
Back at Tenma’s room is an awkward silence. Suou and Sawachika are completely ignoring each other. Tenma tried to end the silence, but failed. Luckily Akira arrived in time with the pictures from the beach party. The four of them looked at the pictures. Then Sawachika made a remark about Suou hitting on so many guys at the same time (she was referring to Hanai, Imadori and even Harima). Suou was pissed after hearing Sawachika’s remark and the two of them started to argue. Suou replied that what Sawachika said doesn’t make sense at all, because she saw how Harima confessed to her the other day. Sawachika was pissed and decided to leave. Tenma was in shock, because she thinks Harima is the worst for two-timing on Suou and Sawachika. Harima overheard their conversation and was very depressed.
He went to look for Hanai and asked him to introduce him to another part-time job. Hanai agreed and introduced Harima to a part-time job as a mover. Imadori was working part-time as a mover as well, because he needed to earn money to go on dates. Hanai and Harami started to compete to see who can lift more weight. Their boss was impressed with their strength and said that up till now only Ichi-san has been able to lift so much weight. Hanai and Harima thinks that Ichi-san must be a big muscled guy. They were surprised to see that Ichi-san is actually Ichijou, their classmate. After they finished the job, their boss paid them out. Imadori was incredibly happy with his salary and joked about going on a date with Ichijou. Ichijou thought Imadori was serious and agreed to go out with him.

More misunderstandings and cliché moments. I truly love this series. Sawachika obviously has a thing for Harima, but is too afraid or rather too embarrassed to admit it. Tenma thinks Harima is a two-timer and obviously hates/ dislikes him now --> poor Harima. Luckily Harima is not too depressed about it.
Imadori doesn’t seem to like Ichijou, which I don’t understand. Ichijou is cute and she has an “interesting” hobby.

Harima confesses to Tenma?
Somehow Suou and Imadori managed to swim back to the shore. Back at the inn it was dinnertime. Harima was jealous, because Tenma was being nice to Imadori. He purposely spilled miso soup on Imado, but didn’t expect Tenma to wipe it off for Imadori. Harima then spilled soup on himself, because he wanted Tenma to wipe it off for him as well. Unfortunately for Harima, Hanai was quicker than Tenma. Tenma noticed that Harima has been in a bad mood ever since Imadori and Suou came back. She thinks that Harima is jealous of Imadori, because he spent the night with Suou. Tenma suspects that Harima has a crush on Suou and decided to help him confess to her. Harima misunderstood Tenma and thinks that she likes him. They practised for numerous times, but Harima failed to confess.
That night, when everyone was supposed to be asleep, the boys wanted to make a move on the girl they like. Nara wanted to sleep next to Tenma, but his plan was foiled by Harima. Imadori wanted to touch Suou’s breasts, but was stopped by Suou. Harima wanted to go near Tenma, but before he could reach her Hanai grabbed him. Hanai was dreaming and thought Harima was Yakumo. He started to hug Harima and even tried to kiss him. Harima struggled, but got undressed during the struggle. Sawachika woke up, because of the noise Harima made. She saw him half naked and kicked him in the face.

Chibi Hanai and Suou
Suou invited Hanai to attend her birthday party. The guests are supposed to perform an act at the party. Hanai went through his closet to find something he can use to perform with. He found a recorder and started to remember something that happened when he was little. When Hanai was a little boy he was often bullied by his classmates. Suou was the only one who was nice to him. She wasn’t embarrassed to be with him and even thought him how to play the recorder. When Hanai’s classmates wanted to bully him again, she stood up for him. Hanai decided to play the recorder on Suou’s party, she however doesn’t remember what happened when they where little.

The AC broke down?!
The air conditioning in Tenma’s house broke down. Yakumo purposely lost to Tenma with rock-paper- scissors so Tenma could go outside. After Tenma left Yakumo thought of ways to cool down (wear a yukata, sleep in the shadow).

I feel sorry for Harima. Not only did he fail to confess to Tenma, but he was also sexually harassed by Hanai and kicked in the face by Sawachika. I’ve never seen such an unlucky guy. The second story of chibi Hanai and Suou was cute --> that’s all I can say. They are both likeable characters and they would make a cute couple. Hanai looks a lot better without his glasses. The third story was silly. Tenma is still adorable naive and Yakumo is still the perfect sister.

Ichigo goes to school, but is surprised that no one seems to remember Rukia. After school Orihime talked to Ichigo and asked him why everyone has forgotten about Rukia. Ichigo was surprised Orihime still remembered Rukia. The two of them started to talk, that’s when Ichigo found out that Orihime has been able to see Ichigo in his Death god form ever since the thing that happened with her brother. After talking to Orihime, Ichigo has decided he will bring Rukia back.

Meanwhile in Soul Society, Renji pays a visit to Rukia. He asked her if she is still pissed, because she hasn’t touched her food. Rukia said she wasn’t pissed. She hasn’t touched her food, because she is not hungry. Then Rukia started to make fun of Renji being a lieutenant, which pissed him off. He yelled at her and said she will die very soon. Upon hearing that Rukia stopped joking and became serious. She asked Renji if she is really going to die. Renji saw Rukia was sad and immediately replied that he was only joking. He tried to comfort Rukia by saying that her brother is probably applying for sentence seduction right now. Rukia doesn’t believe that, because she knows her brother very well. In the forty years she was taken in by the Kuchiki family, her brother hasn’t cared for her even once. Back at Urahara’s store, Ichigo begins his training. Urahara used his cane/ Soul Slayer to push Ichigo’s soul out of his body. Lesson 1 is for Ichigo to regain his spirit power by fighting Ururu (Urahara’s employee). Lesson 1 is cleared when one or the other can’t move any longer. Ururu tells Ichigo to put on a protection headband and gloves or else he could die. Ichigo was a bit hesitant to fight with Ururu, but after she dealt the first blow Ichigo knew he had no choice. Ichigo grabbed the headband, but didn’t know how to put it on. Urahara told Ichigo to hold the headband against his forehead and then scream as loud as he can: “Take this, the Power of Righteousness! Righteous Armour, The Justice Headband! Equip!” At first Ichigo refused to say those words, because it was too embarrassing but after Ururu almost hit him he hold the headband against his forehead and screamed out the words. That’s when Ichigo found out Urahara was only toying with him. The headband is activated by holding it against the forehead. After activating it Ichigo became a bit more confident, but not for long because Ururu almost managed to hit him again. Ichigo started to run, but then he realised that he can match up with Ururu’s speed, which means he can try to counterattack her. Ichigo began his attack and managed to put a scratch on Ururu’s face. She doesn’t seemed pleased with it and kicked Ichigo in the face. Ichigo thought he lost and wanted a rematch, but Urahara congratulated him and said he cleared lesson 1; Ichigo has regained his spirit power. Since Ichigo regained his spirit power Urahara wanted to go on to lesson two. Then Urahara’s employee cut Ichigo’s chain of fate.

Meanwhile Yoruichi-san asked Orihime and Chad if they are willing to let her train them. She said to Orihime and Chad that Ichigo has already begun his preparations to go to Soul Society. If Chad and Orihime wants to make use of the power they have awakened, they must take Yoruichi-san’s lessons. Chad is willing to take the lessons, but Orihime still has doubts. The three of them went to look for Ishida and told him about Ichigo’s plans to save Rukia. Ishida said it has nothing to do with him. He is training, because he can’t forgive himself for losing to a Death god. After Orihime, Chad and Yoruichi-san left, Ishida opened a mysterious box.

Ichigo is still continuing his training at Urahara’s store. Urahara explains to him that his chain of fate is eroding. If the chain disappeared completely, Ichigo will turn into a Hollow. If he doesn’t want to become a Hollow he has to change into Death god. Urahara dropped Ichigo and his employee into an extremely deep hole. After Ichigo regained consciousness he saw that Urahara’s employee has tied his hands with a demonic spell. Ichigo has seventy-two hours to turn into a Death god and climb out the hole. If Ichigo fails and turns into a Hollow, Urahara will have to vanquish him.

Can’t wait to watch the next episode. I like it when the main character has to power-up in order to save or defeat someone (I’m a sucker for these kind of things). It’s usually a bit cliché, but I like it! Urahara is so funny. I can’t believe Ichigo actually did what Urahara said. I guess when your life is in danger you really can’t think clearly anymore. Ishida’s reaction, after he heard Yoruichi-san talking, was priceless. He likes to act cool, but he can be very girly at times. Keigo never fails to amuse me as well. He is always the one being left out (I can’t help but to feel sorry for him). If Bleach will only have 26 episodes we probably won’t see the Soul Society arc, which is too bad because I really like that arc.

Muu-chan was missing and Sugino went everywhere to look for her. Sugino then feared Muu-chan went to “that” place again. Just like Sugino thought, Muu-chan went to Kantarou’s house. When Sugino called back Muu-chan, she refused. Sugino blames Kantarou for this and wanted to duel with him to determine who is more suited to be with Muu-chan. Muu-chan stepped in to prevent the both of them from fighting. Sugino misunderstood Muu-chan and thought she was taking Kantarou’s side, so he left heartbroken. Kantarou had other things on his mind, because he had to vanquish a Kyouhotsu (something that deceased people holding a strong grudge turn into). The Kyouhotsu seemed to hold a grudge against a married couple. Kantarou and Haruka went to the married couple’s mansion to investigate the case. Then the Kyouhotsu appeared again. A maid recognized the Kyouhotsu as Kotoe-san, a maid who used to work for the married couple. Kantarou and Haruka chased after the Kyouhotsu and were able to surround her on the roof. Then Sugino suddenly appeared and saved the Kyouhotsu. After Sugino saved the Kyouhotsu he wanted to leave, because he wanted to win back Muu-chan’s love. The Kyouhotsu seemed to be interested in Sugino and wanted to team up with him. She transferred her evil spirit to Sugino and possessed his body with it.
Meanwhile Kantarou asked Akiko, the mistress of the mansion, a few questions about Kotoe-san. Kotoe-san was a live-in maid of the mansion. During last winter she suddenly disappeared leaving all her belongings behind. Kantarou started to suspect the master of the mansion and had Haruka follow him. Haruka followed him to a hidden room, where Katoe-san’s body was hidden. Kantarou showed up and confronted the master with it. The master began to talk. He had an affair with Kotoe-san, but unlike Kotoe-san he wasn’t serious about it. Last winter Kotoe-san wanted the master to divorce his wife and be with her forever. The master refused and Kotoe-san threatened to tell his wife about his affair. The master was afraid he would lose everything if his wife found out about his affair, so he killed Kotoe-san. When they left the hidden room, Kotoe-san and Sugino appeared and attacked the master. Kantarou managed to vanquish Kotoe-san, but Sugino hasn’t turned back to normal yet. That’s when they discovered Sugino has been possessed by Kotoe-san’s evil spirit. Kantarou wanted to do a chant to exorcise Kotoe-san’s evil spirit, but Muu-chan beat him to it. She sucked the evil spirit out of Sugino’s body and swallowed it. Sugino was touched because Muu-chan saved him and thinks that Muu-chan loves him the most after all. The evil spirit hasn’t disappeared yet. It’s currently living inside Muu-chan, without anyone knowing.

Another character episode, but I actually like this one because Muu-chan and Sugino are such a cute couple. I especially like Sugino, because he gets jealous very easily. Muu-chan is cute as always. I still don’t understand why she likes Kantarou so much, in my opinion Sugino is much better. I wonder what will happen next now Muu-chan has turned evil. Sugino also mentioned he hates humans, because they laughed at him for a mistake he made in the past. I’m eager to find out what kind of mistake he made.

Shiratori couldn’t finish his homework, because the other tenants party in his room every night. Shiratori’s teacher, Shiragane Miyabi, doesn’t seem pleased with it though. She asked him to follow her to a room. After they came out again Shiratori seemed somewhat frightened. After school Shiratori wanted to go to a bookstore. He ran into Kozue and Tamami who were on their way to buy some groceries. Kozue said to Shiratori she knew where to find a good bookstore so the three of them went to a shopping mall. The shop owners mistook Shiratori for Kozue boyfriend and gave Kozue presents to congratulate her.
After they have gotten all the things they were looking for, they went to the park to relax a bit. In the park they met a girl who was looking for her stamp card of the shopping district. She wanted to exchange the stamp card for a futon dryer, so she can keep her futon warm and fuzzy. Kozue felt sorry for her and helped her look for her stamp card. Tamami and Shiratori helped to look as well. After a while they still couldn’t find the stamp card. The girl, Tamami and Shiratori already gave up their search, but Kozue kept looking. The girl grabbed her shopping basket to treat everyone to a snack. When she looked into her basket she saw her stamp card. It turns out the stamp card was there all along.
The three of went headed back to Narutakiso apartments. Shiratori went back to his room to do some homework. Unfortunately Johnny and Momono were in his room and wanted to party again.

I was a bit disappointed, because there was no Saki-chan in this episode. I don’t really like Shiratori and Kozue, because they are boring. If it wasn’t for Tamami, this episode would have been quite dull. Kozue is so naïve and tends to take things too literally and Shiratori looks more like a girl to me. Tamami really is quite the devil. I like it when she threatens people. Shiratori’s teacher is pretty good at threatening people as well.

After Renji enhanced his Soul Slayer, Ichigo was no match for him. Rukia tried to stop Renji and give Ichigo the opportunity to escape. Ichigo however refuses to give up and suddenly managed to increase his spirit powers immensely. With his sudden power increase Ichigo managed to dodge Renji attacks very easily. When he was about to finish Renji off, Ichigo’s Soul Slayer was suddenly broken. Ichigo knew Renji had nothing to do with it, because he looked as surprised as he was. That leaves only one person who could have done it. When Ichigo turned around to look at Byakuya he saw that he was holding a piece of Ichigo’s Soul Slayer in his hand. Before Ichigo could figure out what happened, Byakuya already attacked him. Ichigo fell down on the ground and was bleeding. Ichigo is confused, because he doesn’t when and how Byakuya attacked him. Even Renji had a hard time following his captain’s movements. Rukia wanted to run towards Ichigo, but was stopped by Renji because if Rukia so much even touches Ichigo it would add 20 years to her sentence. Byakuya asked Rukia that even though her crimes may worsen she still wants to go to him. He then said he understands, because Ichigo does deeply resemble a certain someone. Suddenly Ichigo grabbed Byakuya’s robes and told him not to move the conversation ahead without him. Byakuya doesn’t seemed pleased and told Ichigo to let go. When Ichigo pretended he didn’t hear what Byakuya said, Byakuya thought that Ichigo doesn’t want to keep his arm. Rukia saved Ichigo by kicking his hand away from her brother. She then said to Ichigo not to follow her or she would never forgive him. Knowing that Ichigo will die within an hour, Byakuya agreed not to finish Ichigo off. Renji then opened a portal to Soul Society and went through that portal with Byakuya and Rukia.
Ichigo thought he was going to die, but fortunately Urahara appeared and brought Ichigo to his store. Urahara even used an unorthodox method to keep Ichigo warm. After Ichigo woke up, he asked Urahara where Ishida is. Urahara answered that Ishida already went home. Although he lost a lot of blood, his wounds weren't serious. Before Ishida left he asked Urahara to take care of Ichigo, because he wants to beat him and because he believes Ichigo is the only person who can save Rukia. Ichigo however doesn’t believe he can save Rukia. Urahara then replied that Ichigo could save her if he agrees to one condition. In the next ten days Ichigo has to study fighting with him. Ichigo thinks that spending ten days on studying how to fight is useless, because he is afraid he won’t make it in time to save Rukia. Urahara then told Ichigo it’s impossible for him to save Rukia with his current strength. He said to Ichigo not to use other people as an excuse to die. There will be plenty of time left to save Rukia after the training, because Soul Society usually takes a one-month grace period before execution of death row prisoners like Rukia. It takes ten days for Ichigo to study fighting, seven days to open the gate to Soul Society, which leaves them with thirteen days to save Rukia when they reach Soul Society.

I was a bit disappointed with this episode’s animation, besides that this episode was pretty good. I enjoyed watching the fight between Renji and Ichigo. One thing still has me confused though: how did Ichigo suddenly managed to increase his spirit power? It doesn’t make sense, because Ichigo was seriously injured. I also didn’t like Byakuya interfering with the match between Ichigo and Renji. I don’t dislike his character, I just wanted to see a fair fight. Urahara has become even more mysterious. What is his connection with Soul Society and how come he has a Soul Slayer?

Momo rushed to the hospital and dragged Kairi along with her. Sae spotted their arrival before Touji did and came up with another evil scheme. She pretended to accidentally fall on Touji, while in fact she wanted to seduce him into kissing her. When they were about to kiss Momo and Kairi showed up and saw everything. Momo was furious and wanted to hit Sae, but was stopped by Touji. Momo doesn’t understand why Touji still believes everything Sae says. To stop Sae from interfering Momo ordered Kairi to drag Sae away. After Kairi left with Sae, Momo wanted to talk to Touji, but he refused to believe her. In order to get Touji to listen to her, Momo decided to do something outrageous. She threatened to jump out the window if Touji refuses to listen to her. Touji was afraid Momo might get hurt so he promised to listen to everything she has to say. Then the wind suddenly blew up Momo’s skirt. She grabbed her skirt with both hands, causing her to loose her balance. Luckily Touji saved her from falling out the window. Kairi and Sae witnessed everything from the roof. Sae doesn’t want Touji and Momo to make up and therefore asked Kairi to join her. Kairi pretended to join her so that he can find out what she's up to next. Meanwhile Touji agreed to listen to Momo’s explanation, but she will have to answer a question first. Touji wanted to know how Momo feels about Kairi, because he thinks Momo likes Kairi more. When Momo told Touji she doesn’t feel a thing for Kairi, Touji blushed. Unfortunately their happiness didn't last long, because Kairi accidentally told Sae he kissed Momo. Sae rushed back to Touji and told him that Momo and Kairi kissed. Touji asked Momo whether it’s true what Sae said. Momo didn’t want to lie to Touji and told him that she and Kairi did kiss, but that it was against her will. Touji thinks Momo does like Kairi better otherwise she wouldn’t have turned away when Touji tried to kiss her. Momo became enraged after hearing this and said she turned away because Touji wanted to kiss her on the same spot he and Sae kissed the other day. Sae said it was only a practice kiss and Touji confirmed this as well. In the end Touji wanted to break up with Momo, but Momo told him he has no right to talk so high and mighty because she will break up with him and not the other way around.

Okay, after watching this episode I can definitely say that Touji doesn’t deserve to be with Momo. Kairi is a much better match for Momo, because of three things:
- Kairi believes everything Momo says and has never doubted her.
- Kairi calls Momo by her first name, unlike Touji who still calls her Adachi (last name).
- Kairi only wants what’s best for Momo. He would never do anything to hurt her, unlike Touji who’s stupid enough to practise kissing with Sae.
I still can’t stand Sae, but I must admit that Peach Girl wouldn’t have been less enjoyable without her. Every shoujo series needs a bad guy/ girl!

Nanako-chan seems to be interested in Shiratori. After Momono introduced Shiratori to Nanako-chan, she kept staring at him. The other tenants decided to leave Nanako-chan with Shiratori, since she is completely focused on him. Momono wished Shiratori good luck until Nanako-chan becomes shiny.
Shiratori’s furniture and belongings have been delivered, so he decided to pack out his stuff and after that finish his schoolwork. Unfortunately, Nanako-chan’s presence distracted Shiratori. After he read Nanako-chan a story he went to the toilet. When he got back, Nanako-chan ran towards him crying, because she felt lonely without Shiratori. She asked Shiratori if he hates her. When he answered he doesn’t hate her and in facts like her, Nanako-chan became shiny.
Shiratori told Nanako-chan to be quiet for a while so he can finish his schoolwork. After being quiet for a while, Nanako-chan fell asleep on Shiratori’s lap. Shiratori blushed immediately when that happened. The other tenants appeared out of nowhere and took pictures of Nanako-chan sleeping on Shiratori’s lap. The tenants’ loudness woke up the landlady, who then turned back to Kozue. It appears that Kozue has no memories of her other personalities. Momono tells Shiratori to keep this a secret, because up till now they have filled in the gaps when Kozue’s was transformed with made-up memories. Kozue asked what the two of them are talking about and Momono quickly answered they were talking about Shiratori’s welcoming party. This time they threw an official welcoming party for Shiratori. During the party everyone introduced themselves. It turns out that one of the tenants, Sayoko, loves cardboard boxes. When she saw the cardboard boxes in Shiratori’s room, she grabbed one of the boxes at the bottom of a pile causing all the boxes to fall down. Kozue turned into Saki-chan again, because of the shock.

Nanako-chan is not as likeable as Saki-chan. Perhaps because Nanako-chan is too cute and too whiny, but I guess I can’t really complain because she is only six years old. This episode had a few silly moments. Kozue and Shiratori are dull, but the other tenants are funny. I especially like Momono and Tamami. Tamami is a devil in disguise, I sure don’t want to become her enemy. I think she is good at blackmailing people, but that’s just a hunch (remember the picture she took of Nanako-chan sleeping at Shiratori’s lap – perfect to blackmail someone with).

Kozue’s violent side thinks Shiratori has done something weird to her and mistakes him for a pervert. She started threatening him and eventually woke up Momono and Tamami. They came into Shiratori’s room and explained things to Saki-chan (apparently Kozue’s violent side is called Saki-chan). Upon hearing that Shiratori is a new resident of Narutakiso, Saki-chan decided to throw a welcoming party for him. She sent Shiratori out to buy snacks and drinks. Momono offered to help Shiratori. After they bought the things they needed, Momono explained Kozue’s situation to Shiratori. When they went back to the apartment Saki-chan started to insult Shiratori by making fun of his name, face and constellation. Momono thought it was time to call it a night and gave Saki-chan a cup filled with alcohol. After smelling it Saki-chan immediately passed out, because she has zero tolerance of alcohol – even the smell can make her faint. Shiratori is left alone in his room, all confused. He started to regret moving into Narutakisou.
The next day Shiratori saw Kozue working in the garden, but because he wasn’t sure if it was Kozue or Saki-chan he tried to avoid her. Unfortunately Kozue spotted him. Shiratori was relieved when he saw it’s Kozue and not Saki-chan who found him. Kozue wanted to plant a surprise garden and Shiratori decided to help her. After working with and talking to Kozue, Shiratori has made up his mind and decided to stay at Narutakiso apartment. The other tenants overheard their conversation and welcomed Shiratori to Narutakiso. Then the wind suddenly blew up Kozue’s dress and caused everyone to see what’s underneath it. Kozue passed out because she was too embarrassed. After she woke up, she has changed into another personality again. Kozue has changed into a 6-year-old girl named Nanako-chan.

Alright, this episode was definitely better than the first one. I’m starting to like Saki-chan. She is violent, rude but also pretty cool. At least she has more character compared to Kozue. Nanako-chan is a bit too cute, normally these types of characters tend to annoy me. I wonder if Kozue has more personalities, I’m kinda hoping for it. This series is starting to get interesting. Next episode please!

Kawachi continued his training in order to gain Solar Gauntlets. When Kazuma asked him about it, Kawachi told him not to speak to him anymore unless it’s necessary, because he wants to challenge Kazuma. At the main store Kuroyanagi is testing the dinner breads of the newcomers. Only 226 out of the 512 newcomers submitted bread that did not grow mold. Kuroyanagi used dogs to sniff out the bread that are made with artificial preservatives. Suwabara Kai was there as well. He told Kuroyanagi that he wants to challenge Kawachi and Kazuma again, because he lost to them the last time.
Kazuma was feeling depressed, because Kawachi won’t talk to him anymore. He thinks that Kawachi wants to challenge him, because he hates him. The manager told Kazuma he is wrong. Kawachi wants to challenge him, because he has acknowledged him as a man. That’s why the manager told Kazuma to face Kawachi with all he has got. Kazuma understood what the manager said and decided to go to his Grandfather in Gifu and ask him to make “something” for him. After Kazuma arrived in Gifu he went to a cave to dig up some clay. The clay is needed to make that “something”. His Grandfather promised to make that “something” for Kazuma, but after he is done Kazuma must use it to bake Japan #44 for him. Kazumi’s Grandfather said he wanted to eat it once more before he dies. Meanwhile the results of the preliminaries have come in. Both Kazuma and Kawachi have passed the preliminaries. The manager seemed somewhat disappointed, but that’s because he lost a bet against Tsukino and had to treat her to today’s lunch.
On the day of the newcomer’s battle finals, Kazuma overslept. Luckily his sister was worried about him and drove all the way to Gifu to pick him up. By then Kazuma’s Grandfather already passed away, but Kazuma didn’t know about this. Meanwhile the newcomers battle finals have begun and Kuroyanagi is the examiner. Kazuma arrived five minutes late and called Kuroyanagi an old man. Because of this Kuroyanagi gave him five points deductions.

Cliffhangers are so annoying. I can’t wait to watch the next episode. I want to know more about Japan #44 and the “something” Kazuma’s Grandfather made.
This episode wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Suwabara Kai and Kuroyanagi are back, which is good, because I absolutely love Kuroyanagi’s expressions. He is just so funny. With Suwabara entering the newcomers battle finals as well, things are going to be tough for Kawachi and Kazuma. Btw, what do you think the manager bet on?

Suzu invited Kantarou, Youko and Haruka to a cottage in the mountain. On their way to the cottage they walked by a riverbank. Kantarou showed of his reed pipe blowing skills. Suzu wanted to learn how to blow a reed pipe as well, but she still has much to learn. When they arrived at the cottage they couldn’t find anyone. Then a man named Tatsuzou appeared. Suzu recognized him immediately and asked him where his wife Chikage is. The last time Suzu visited the cottage, Chikage kept her entertained. Tatsuzou answered Chikage has passed away. When Suzu asked him how this could have happened, he said it was his fault Chikage died. Suzu was very sad about it and went to the riverbank to be alone for a while. When she wanted to return to the cottage she saw Chikage and a little girl. Chikage talked to Suzu and introduced the little girl to her. The little girl’s name is Shigure and she’s Chikage and Tatsuzou’s daughter. Suzu can’t believe what she’s seeing and told Chikage that Tatsuzou said she was dead. Chikage answered that she doesn’t understand why Tatsuzou would say something like that. The next moment Suzu is back at the cottage where everyone tells her she has seen Chikage's ghost. Suzu refused to believe them and wanted to go back to the riverbank to confirm that Chikage is still alive. Haruka offered to go with her. After they waited for a while there was still no sign of Chikage. So they decided to return to the cottage, where strange things began to happen. First Shizuka saw a stuffed Youko (in her demon form), then she saw Kantarou whose head has turned into a melon and lastly she saw Haruka’s skeleton. It turns out Tatsuzou went to gamble when Chikage was in labor pain. She died at the riverbank, but all this time she hasn’t forgotten about Shizuka. She even said to Tatsuzou that the child in her womb is Suzu. When Suzu thought she has lost everyone she cares about, Chikage appeared again and wanted Suzu to be her child. Suzu refused and told Chikage to return Kantarou, Youko and Haruka to her. She told Chikage she doesn’t like her, because she’s nothing like the Chikage she knew. When Suzu’s tears fell on the ground everything went back to before they went to the cottage. Suzu thought that everything was just a dream till she discovered she can blow a reed pipe all of a sudden.

This episode was very confusing. I still don’t understand it very clearly. Was everything Suzu saw just an illusion or was it real? If it was real how come Haruka and Kantarou haven’t noticed Chikage’s presence? I must say I’m quite disappointed that the animators have decided to do some character episodes instead of continuing with the Minamoto Raikou arc. Well since complaining won’t help much, I’ll just hope for the best. The next episode should be quite interesting, because it’s about Sugino and Muu-chan (my favs).

Rukia had some flashbacks about the time she spent with Ichigo’s and the others. It was then she realized she has spent too much time in the “human” world. A male voice confirmed Rukia’s discovery. When Rukia looked up she saw Abarai Renji, a Death god and Rukia’s acquaintance. He demanded Rukia to say the name of the human who stole her powers. Rukia tries to deny everything, but Renji doesn’t believe her. He asked her why she has that human expression on her face. Renji doesn’t understand why Rukia, who has been adopted by the noble Kuchiki family, could have such an expression. Then Renji called out his captain and Rukia’s older brother: Kuchiki Byakuya. Rukia was shocked to see him. Renji then suddenly attacks Rukia and managed to injure her. He wanted to injure her more, but was surprised by an arrow that almost hit him. It was Ishida who shot the arrow. When Renji asked him who he was, Ishida gave him his name and said that Renji has the right to know the name of the man who will defeat him. Meanwhile Ichigo was wondering why Rukia hasn’t come home yet, when suddenly he heard a strange noise coming from behind the toilet bowl. He saw Kon strapped to the toilet bowl. After he freed Kon, Ichigo asked him what he was doing there. Kon said that Rukia strapped him to the toilet bowl before she left. Kon also pointed Ichigo to the note Rukia left on the desk. After deciphering the note, Ichigo decided to change into a Death god and go after Rukia, but Kon refused to help him. Luckily Urahara appeared out of nowhere and offered his help to Ichigo.
Meanwhile Renji has already defeated Ishida. Renji wanted to finish Ishida off, but was interrupted by the appearance of Ichigo. Renji was shocked to see the size of Ichigo’s Soul Slayer. After Renji saw Rukia’s expression when Ichigo appeared he knew Ichigo is the human who has Rukia’s powers. Renji and Ichigo began to fight. Ichigo was no match against the more experienced Renji. Renji looked down on Ichigo and said to him he couldn’t put a scratch on a “real” Death god. Ichigo proved him wrong by injuring Renji’s chin. Byakuya then told Renji he relaxed too much. Byakuya remembered seeing Ichigo’s face before. The other day the Secret Mobile Corps reported that Ichigo inflicted a sword wound on a Menos Grande. Renji doesn’t believe that Ichigo inflicted a wound on a Menos Grande. He asked Ichigo the name of his Soul Slayer. When Ichigo said he didn’t have a name for it, Renji was a bit ticked off. He said to Ichigo that someone like him who can’t even ask his Soul Slayer for its name is 2000 years too early to try and fight him as an equal. After saying that he changed the form of his Soul Slayer and called out its name: Zabimaru. With his enhanced Soul Slayer Renji easily wounded Ichigo.

As pointed out in the reviews of Garten and Ten the animation of this episode is much better compared to the animation of the previous episodes (including episode 15). Besides that this new arc is excellent on itself as well. Although I’m worried how the animators are planning to squeeze in the entire Soul Society arc in the remaining episodes. It seems a bit impossible to me. Unless they are planning on leaving out most of the new characters. In that case I would be very disappointed, because some of them are very interesting. I’ve also heard that there will be a movie coming up as well. Perhaps they will end the Soul Society arc in the movie. Does anyone have more information on Bleach the movie?

Touji was shocked after Momo refused to let him kiss her. Kairi walks Momo home and tried to comfort her. Momo thinks Touji sees her as a playgirl. Kairi told her it shouldn’t matter how Touji sees her if Momo loves him. That night Touji went to Momo’s house to apologise to her. Seeing Touji like that Momo knows Touji doesn’t see her as a playgirl.
The next day Touji saw Sae crying and asked her what’s wrong. Sae then told Touji that Momo knows they kissed and that she’s upset about it. Before they could finish their conversation Momo appeared and pulled Touji away. Momo tells Touji to ignore everything Sae says, because she can’t be trusted. Touji doesn’t know what’s going on, but decided to listen to Momo. During the cleaning of the class Sae was being annoying to Momo again. Momo told her to move aside, but then Sae fell on the floor. Everyone, including Touji, thinks Momo pushed Sae. Touji takes Sae to the infirmary while Momo follows them. Sae purposely let Momo see she’s not wounded. Momo was enraged and pulled Sae away from Touji. Touji thinks Momo is just being jealous, because he kissed Sae. That night Momo called Touji to explain things to him, but because Touji had a stomach ache he ended the conversation very abruptly leaving Momo thinking Touji doesn’t want to believe her.
The next day both Touji and Momo were absent. Touji was hospitalised because he had appendicitis. Momo was late because she couldn’t sleep all night. When she got to class all of her classmates were behaving very strangely towards her. Apparently before Momo got to class, Sae told everyone not to tell Momo that Touji has been hospitalised and spread the rumour that Momo is trying to steal her boyfriend, Touji, away from her. What happened next is Sae visiting Touji everyday and telling him lies about Momo. Meanwhile Momo has no idea what’s going on. After she talked to Kairi she wanted to go back to class, but then she slipped and pushed Kairi off the stairs. She apologized to him and helped him get up. Kairi grabbed this opportunity to hug Momo. Momo wanted to push him away before anyone would see them, but it’s already too late because Sae saw the two of them hugging. When she went to visit Touji she told him about it, but twisted the truth a bit. Kairi found out about Sae schemes and told everything to Momo who was enraged after hearing that.

I have never seen such a mean and low character as Sae. All those dirty tricks just make her pathetic. It means she can’t get a boyfriend by herself and has to steal other people’s boyfriends. Momo finally realised she can’t believe a word Sae says. Too bad Touji still believes Sae. He really is stupid! No wonder Momo calls him BAKA! Perhaps Momo should just give up on Touji. Kairi is a better match for her. At least he is not as gullible as Touji and he rejected Sae – YEAH!
